SENSATIONALADELAIDE is a not-for-profit community website focused on making SA greater. Starting from a small base in 2005, membership levels have grown exponentially and today we are represented by over 2000 South Australians!

To make South Australia a vibrant place to work, live, study and play.

Our Mission
To enhance the current function and future potential of South Australia through open and creative community-focused discussions coupled with government, council, and industry group engagement.

Our Objectives

• • To Monitor: We aim to maintain an intimate level of knowledge on key issues and developments affecting Adelaide and the wider South Australian community by monitoring government proposals and releases, council plans and submissions, industry developments, public sentiment and media news, etc.
  • To Discuss: We engage in debate and discussion focused on resolving many issues of public importance in South Australia.
  • To Promote: We will influence Government and Council policy and actions, to ensure they reflect a broad range of community needs and goals by providing meaningful input to the decision making process.

Membership
Anyone can join. The only prerequisite is a willingness to discuss a variety of ideas and concerns in an open, honest and constructive manner. We welcome all opinions and diligently work towards common outcomes.

Our membership-base is diverse including a variety of:

• • Backgrounds: School Students, University students, Working Families, Workplace Professionals, and Community Leaders.
  • Ages: A broad cross-section of the community ranging from 17 to 50+ year of age>
  • Locations: The majority are from Suburban & CBD Adelaide who consider progressive use of the city and parklands to be of immense importance to SA’s culture, image and long-term success. We also have good representation from Regional SA, as well as ex-pats and other interested people living interstate and overseas.

A Rare Melting Pot of Organised Enthusiasm
It is rare for such a wide cross-section of any community to rally for a cause. With SENSATIONALADELAIDE, the enthusiasm focused on making "SA Greater" is a daily occurrence. We collectively rejoice when true progress is made or poor ideas are quashed. We delve deep into discussion and look for ways to resolve when proposals of true merit are rejected or ignored.
