Re: News & Discussion: Trams

The biggest mess is the station names, I know it has been mentioned here before but aside from Botanic Gardens (or should I say, Botanic Garden). Festival Plaza? The stop is at-least 50m away from where the Festival Plaza will be. Festival Centre or Elder Park would have made more sense. University...

Thursday 25 October is the opening date for the new precinct. The Bavarian, Schnitz, Grill'd and TGI Friday's announced as the final 4 tenants in the precinct (though I think TGI Friday's had already been leaked by a council newsletter). Seriously awesome!!  Man Tea Tree Plaza is t...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Just out of curiosity, what was this building originally built for? It was built for David Jones in 1960-something. There are a couple of pictures back on this thread: http://www.sensational-adelaide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2810&start=15 In hindsight, they should've never moved. The current D...

Re: Clipsal 500

Wouldn't the heat be an issue in January? I'm surprised the national body are considering motorsport in the height of summer. 35 deg. days in March are one thing, but low 40's in January, under the most intense sun and uv? Then the drivers will be requiring the race be run in the evening...then the...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Regarding H&M though, it would have been nice if they could have taken over the GPO similar to the one in Melbourne but hopefully our store will still look just as nice as Melbourne's. It would be nice though the Melbourne GPO / H&M is located in the heart of their main retail precinct (Bourke St M...

I agree this is disgraceful. Cant think of any new ones that bad in Australia..we may need to look at third world countries! Who do you think should bare the blame - the developer, the architect, those that approved it or all of the above? There has been plenty of trash built in the other major cit...

I'd take that "artist impression" with a grain of salt.

Looks like it's been done up by the Advertiser.

It will also add a sixth weekly flight from Hong Kong from October 28, 2018 to Adelaide in southern Australia. In addition to providing the addit...

Re: News & Developments: Port Adelaide

The government should buy that vacant lot and build a state aquarium. The Melbourne Aquarium is one of most popular attractions in that city, so that level of activity would be brilliant to replicate for the Port - especially as it’s in keeping with its maritime heritage. I'd like to see a brand ne...

- East West: EW1, EW2 etc - Outer North: ON1, ON2 etc Yeah, no. What is your suggestion to improve the numbering system? Or are you satisfied with how it currently is? Those names are horrible. I'm honestly not phased with the numbering system. I just look at Google Maps to see what bus I need to c...
