[PRO] Re: New Adelaide Aquatic Centre | $135M
Had a thought whist at my boy's swimming lessons today — what if they kept the roof? The current aquatic centre is unique in that because of the way it was built, the roof is actually completely seperate from the rest of the facility. They could remove all the pools, the ancillary buildings, stands...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
I think people need to remember this is a functioning railway station and not a museum. Fill the retail spaces with something - anything - that is going to be useful to commuters or draw people in. I’m concerned about the loss of video screens from the air bridge demolition. People need to know when...

I want this so much! We'll have our official first skyscraper. WTF? We had our fist skyscraper in 1925 - the T&G Building on the corner of King William and Grenfell. Then in the 1960s the AMP Building on the corner of King William and North Tce was a skyscraper. You think this will be a skyscra...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
OK, here is the news. Thank GOD Ovingham is getting an upgrade, it would have been so embarrassing spending all this money on the Torrens Road overpass and leaving Ovingham Station as it is. Also good to see Ethelton on that list, it looks like an embarrassment when you consider how much investment...

Love how this is turning out! Stylish, classy, this one will age really well. I’m not too bothered by the design. It adds height to the skyline and variation - it’s not another glass box. If visitors ask, just tell them it’s a telephone exchange building

Longtime lurker, rare poster with a bit of a favour to ask. Former Adelaidean... Grew up in Adelaide, moved to the US in 2011 when I was 25 and have remained here since. But still keep a keen eye on developments in lil old Adelaide! It'll always be home, there's no place in the world quite like it. ...

I'm a lurker here, and very rarely post on S-A (kinda shy, and everyone here seems so smart! So please go easy on me!). Grew up in Adelaide, moved to the US in 2011, but have managed to visit home a few times (most recent visit was in February). It is so exciting to see so many tall buildings being ...

Adelaide to get 7-Elevens
Anyone hear in the news that 7-eleven has bought Mobil? This includes Mobil's 30 odd remaining SA stores which presumably would be converted to 7-elevens.

Hurry up and start this!!!
I'm in love with it all. Just got back from a trip to the US and the landscaping in the Southern half of the new Vic Square reminds me of the Highline in New York.
Build it, build it, build it!

Does anyone know which Noarlunga service this refurbished train runs during weekdays? To/from the city, I'm not fussed, just want to see what the ride's like for myself!

You know, I can just see those new LEDs advertising our local South Australian businesses, such as Designer Direct and Caffe Primo... Cringe!!!
