Re: #PRO: Buckland Park Development

Just to give those an idea of where the Buckland Park development is proposed to take place relative to the existing urban areas and planned infrastructure, here is a map from the Department of Planning and Local Government: http://www.planning.sa.gov.au/images/dmImage/SourceImage/BucklandParkSiteM...

Re: #PRO: Buckland Park Development

Would you yourself live in Buckland Park? Is it not ridiculous that they would build a settlement for 33,000 people and yet not ensure there were any transport facilities or shops or other things that we expect near our homes? would i live there, yes I would, yes i do. Tell me, would you run 20 bus...

Re: #PRO: Buckland Park Development

Clearly AtD you are the expert here, and have indisputably more knowlege than the team assembled by Walker Corporation. I wish you well in the future as with your wealth of knowlege will undoubtably land you a planning career earning 6 figure plus annual salaries, but you're probably already doing t...

Re: #PRO: Buckland Park Development

The EIS expects 50% of all trips within the township to be via walking, bike or public transport in a development of low-density detached homes far from any employment centres, yet mentions nothing on how to achieve this other to mention a single community bus service. It mentions nothing that I co...

Re: #Proposed: Buckland Park Development

The more I read on climate change the more I am convinced that we are now looking at the more the extreme of predicted impacts including rise in sea level. I am wondering at what point government or for that matter insurer’s step in to stop coastal and low lying projects. Or will my kids be payin...

Re: #Proposed: Buckland Park Development

Wow, you guys have all the answers! Maybe you should be on the board for fixing the Murray too. ... You clowns probably think that two wells is in the flinders ranges. Are you trolling or just an astroturfer for the Buckland Park developers? Neither, I wrote in and genuinely asked why people are so...

Re: #Proposed: Buckland Park Development

Wow, you guys have all the answers! Maybe you should be on the board for fixing the Murray too. I had no idea this outback country town development would affect so few so greatly. Sounds like we don't need anymore houses anyway. If they build it, I won't move there, I'll move to two wells, because i...

Re: #Proposed: Buckland Park Development

A privately set up subdivision in an area where there is currently nothing would have to be cheaper than to buy up existing properties, renew the aging water supply systems and redeveloping, surely. And as for the other, the plans include a medical centre, and school. Public transport exists already...

Re: #Proposed: Buckland Park Development

Hello everyone. I’m not sure how I stumbled upon this forum or who the people are who are posting in it, but after reading this thread I felt I should say a few words. There are a few people dead against this development, and I can not understand why. I have read articles in the paper and letters ...
