[COM] Re: South Road Upgrade
Freeways are not a 21st Century solution. We need to focus on bringing Adelaide up to speed and plan it's future so it is a more sustainable metropolis without the freeways dissecting into our communities. What would you therefore suggest for South Road ? Bus lane... :D South Road is the busiest no...

[COM] Re: South Road Upgrade
Oh well, looks like we won't see a freeway like the one proposed in the 60's. no thanks to Dunstan, we are now stuck with this issue... ANYWAY, if we don't get a freeway built, I would like to see more than simple band aids at the major intersections. I would intead like to see something like what ...

Re: If you could demolish any buildings in Adelaide...
i rather like it too. i just believe something should be done to funk up the building's grade level and make it more inviting and conjucive for university students, while upgrade the plaza to make it into an interactive and social square full of life and colour - connecting the city to the University!

what are you talking about mate, an 11 storey building along a strip which has typically got 2-3 storey buildings is a substantial change in the height of the skyline... plus, this will spur future development in a more sustainable manner with more organic growth. over time, there will be varying he...

i agree that it is not too bad, but also looks quite 'spartan' and institutional looking, very suto-soviet style!

[COM] Re: #Proposed: 79-91 Rundle Mall, 19 Storey Office and Retail
i forgot to mention that although i am welcoming to this proposal, i am dissapointed with the height... what is it, like 19 levels..? this sort of reminds me of 20-22 Currie Street, and considering that it is on the same site of Grenfell / Currie St and probably a fairly equal distance from King Wil...

[COM] Re: #Proposed: 79-91 Rundle Mall, 19 Storey Office and Retail
Yes, it certainly is an improvement from this Currie Street perspective. I would have liked to see if a section of the original Harris Scarfe facade retained (either from Rundle Mall or Currie St, or both!), possibly worked into a portion of the arcade or something. It would be a referral to the sit...

Re: River Zoo
Great idea and I would be all for it. but... there is always a but.. the parkland humpers would come in full force and there would be a lot of negative reaction about privatising space, and eliminating the torrens river cycling / walking trails. i've thought of it before too, i think it could be rat...

Neuropolis... maybe open a Sensational-rural South Australia forum so you can focus on your forte of rural arcologies... Re: Tramline: Where should they go?
I agree with Urban with those two locations but here is a more consolidated list of places which i believe will be beneficial for tram routes. note that these places are either cultural boulevards (with small scale street retail, cafes) and are also within areas of mix use and low / medium (to also ...
