Re: #PRO: Buckland Park Development
fabricator, Is there no facilities in Virginia for Milk, Bread and a paper. Would you yourself live in Buckland Park? Is it not ridiculous that they would build a settlement for 33,000 people and yet not ensure there were any transport facilities or shops or other things that we expect near our hom...

Re: #PRO: Buckland Park Development
Gidday, If I remember correctly a rail extension to Virginia is part of the 30 year plan for Adelaide. But I cannot remember if there was a date for it. Regarding flooding in this area, this can happen anywhere in Adelaide as I experienced in Salisbury East in the early 80's. The estate where I live...

Re: #PRO: Buckland Park Development
As far as driving goes, without breaking the law, I can tell you for a fact , it takes 45 to 50 minutes to drive to North Terrace from Buckland Park in 5-00pm traffic, it takes 15 to 20 minutes from Buckland Park to Elizabeth Shopping Centre car park anytime of the day, 20 to 25 minutes to munno pa...

Re: Government Inquiry Into a Barossa Passenger Service
It's not exactly easy as in just to send down a few trains. There's a few factors that have to be considered: The residents in the Barossa will have to pay more for car registration, as they lose their rural car rego concession Track usage will have to be discussed with other users (ie G&W) Ext...

Re: Government Inquiry Into a Barossa Passenger Service
Gidday, I was invited to attend the Rail Inquiry at Parliament house last Wednesday the 24th of June. It was a very interesting meeting with 8 to 10 people giving respones about a possible service to the Barossa. I certainly learnt a lot and some facts and figures that came out of the meeting are ce...

Re: #H/D: Gawler East | 2500h | 219ha
Hi Somebody in the WWW, How are you? Little tired at the moment, have been up since 07:30. What about yourself? :) Yes you are right the Developers should pay as well but, In a conversation I had with a Gawler East resident recently he said the Council and the Developer asked the Government to supp...

Re: #PRO: Buckland Park Development
From the ABC: Transport concerns for Buckland development The Playford City Council says plans for a new town at Buckland Park on the Adelaide Plains do not explain how nearby communities will be affected. The Walker Corporation wants to build businesses and homes to accommodate 33,000 people. The ...

Re: Government Inquiry Into a Barossa Passenger Service
wilfy would be blowing his load over this Cruise, Nothing like that will happen. But I am very happy that Dennis Hood from the Family First party was able to find out how many reports have actually been carried out. Trans Adelaide actually did another survey at the Gawler Stations on the 2nd of thi...

Re: #H/D: Gawler East | 2500h | 219ha
C'mon Wilfy, we can do better than a park-n-ride. Developers should be made to pay for proper infrastructure if they want these developments, not lumping it on the taxpayer which will see things postponed for years. Delfin Lend Lease ought to fund a proper PT link to it, which can start with runnin...

Re: #PRO: Buckland Park Development
I agree with the Greens. This will be a car dependant bedroom community at best, and a ghetto at worse. AtD, It will only be car dependant if the SA Government do not build a branch line off the SG line which goes north to Crystal Brook. A U shape connection could be made into the northern end of t...

The Construction of the Noarlunga (Marion to Brighton) and Design and Construction of the Gawler (North Adelaide to Wingfield) Passenger Rail Lines I don't get it, why is it only from Marion to Brighton and North Adelaide to Wingfield?
