[COM] Re: #PRO: Marjorie Jackson Nelson Hospital | $1.7b

Got some news on this one from my brother (chief Finance officer in a large company of 1200 based in Adelaide) - said this hospital is being shelved. Same bloke that told me about Hills in January (concerning finances). Interesting to see what comes out in the future concerning this project. ADELAI...

Re: Survey for Barossa Rail Passeger service.

This is my first post on this board, so be nice to me (for the first post at any rate!) Wilfy, you know that I support the return of services to the Valley! I do however feel that the issues surrounding the overcrowding of services is a long-term issue thats been successfully overlooked/ignored by ...

Re: Survey for Barossa Rail Passeger service.

Hi Wilfy :) Explain, please, how extending the train to Angaston will ease overcrowding south of Gawler? Logic would suggest that if all these extra people are going to use the service then overcrowding would only become worse! drwaddles, According to information I have received the overcrowding wa...

Would you be in support of a railcar service from Gawler to Wyong via Angaston, Broken Hill, Parkes, Lithgow, Lidcombe, Hornsby and Gosford?

Re: Survey for Barossa Rail Passeger service.

The last time someone asked where rollingstock for your Angaston service came from on Railpage, you said "they can use Jumbos". I'll have to find it - don't normally use that sandpit which absorbs dribble. Somebody, If I remember correctly, fabricator said there were Jumbo services that g...

Re: Survey for Barossa Rail Passeger service.

To answer everyone's questions: Wilfy2007: The reason why trains have issues running to time on the system is because of the poor state of the track on most of the system (and the resulting TSRs) as well as guggling around of train services in Adelaide yard which during peak sees some trains standi...

Re: Survey for Barossa Rail Passeger service.

At this present moment there is not enough Rollingstock to run more Trains or longer Trains. But there is a special "Jumbo Reserve" of carriages ready to go for an Angaston service? Somebody, Information I have received is at Peak hour there are no reserves, when there is a breakdown they...

Re: Survey for Barossa Rail Passeger service.

That begs the question, Willfy. Should the government be allowing such development knowing that people will commute 80km every day? Shouldn't the government therefore focus its attention on providing homes for these people closer to the city? Atd, Coundn't agree with you more. But homes closer to t...

Re: Survey for Barossa Rail Passeger service.

If the trains from Gawler are overcrowded, maybe the solution is to....... Run more trains, or run longer trains?    Nah, too much logic in that. Let's just run trains to Angaston which will fix the problem of people in Elizabeth etc standing. Wilfy, I doubt that anybody st...

Re: Survey for Barossa Rail Passeger service.

Angaston does need a train now because of the overcrowding of the Gawler trains right at this minute. I don't understand. Angaston is 35km away from Gawler. Atd, There are many, many people from the Barossa including Angaston that drive by car to the Gawler Stations to continue on for their Jouney ...

Re: Survey for Barossa Rail Passeger service.

Why the sense of urgency with all your Barossa proposals Wilfy? You keep insisting that trains need to be running there tomorrow. Do you think that no acruise ships will visit Outer Harbor again? Angaston does not need trains before the suburban network is fixed. Settle down. Somebody, Have you tra...

[COM] Re: #PRO: Marjorie Jackson Nelson Hospital | $1.7b

Why do you say that Brian? It's not as if they are going to be laying a new standard gauge line next to the current broad gauge ones. Instead, they are just going to move the rail in 6.5 inches on the current alignment. Will409, With the new development for the Hospital, how many lines will they ne...

Re: Survey for Barossa Rail Passeger service.

This is another reason why they should not rip up the Rosewater loop. This up-and-coming summer Adelaide will have a record number of cruise ship visits at Outer Harbor and many of the visitors will be going to The Barossa Do you really think that they will want to step off the cruise ship, and str...
