coming down the hill on the southern expressway this one is starting to really dominate the right side of the city skyline when viewed from that position. will be interesting to see if it actually looks taller than westpac when completed.

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

can't see this happening for another 30 years minimum. once the NS motorway is complete all the trucks coming off the SE freeway will go straight down cross road. no point them going onto portrush road. then we'll have the next major bottleneck especially at the Belair line crossing. make yourself c...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

yeah noticed so much of it leveled when I ventured north a couple of weeks ago. it's quite a short stretch compared to what's been done elsewhere so far. does anyone know whether the larger businesses on the western side near Regency road will be affected? makin mattresses etc? or will the design le...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

if heading north and u want south road don't bother going into the trench near maccas as you're forced onto ayliffes road which is pointless

if you're heading south the trench is only for the southern expressway, south rd users no change.

drove through there today rev and I reckon they have demoed more than 50% on the eastern side. won't be that long until it's all cleared.

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

Are those lanes temporary or the final thing? they are only going to be using one side of the lowered motorway for two lanes travelling in each direction. that way they can continue working on the collapsed section. if u look closely at the two photos the one on the left is sturt rd and the one on ...

[PRO] Re: Brighton Road Grade Separation

quick question, what's the most likely option at this crossing? same track alignment either over or under Brighton road? I'm guessing under as is at Oaklands

at the end of the day you can't hold back a city of 1.4m because of houses and some business that would need to be acquired. we progress and move forward, that's life. yes I understand that it would be tough for those involved but no individual is bigger than the team so to speak.

What is all this obsession with having to build freeways everywhere to cater for autonomous single occupant vehicles? As automation becomes the norm for cars it'll also become the norm for mass transit (and is actually far more advanced already). So unlike what happened the invention of the car, wh...

anyone who drives through Darlington regularly would see that there is no way this section would be complete by the end of this year. half way through next year is still pushing it.

[PRO] Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

how would they even do Brighton road at hove? there's no room to move the line north or south of where it currently is like they did at Oaklands. it would need to go directly above or directly below where it currently sits.
