If the definition of a TOD is a high density development within 500 to 700 metres of a transport hub - won't any low density development close to a transport hub disappear once the approval to build high density development is made? I've heard that TTG council are in the process of amending their Development Plan to allow residential high rise buildings within 750 metres of the TTP interchange. They are also proposing other density increases across the Council area around activity centres with bus links to the O-bahn interchang...

ho Really; I agree with light rail as a substitue transport system to the O-bahn and running it adjacent to or under key public areas.

A plan that makes the route more than a few stops to increase use would seem ideal - especially when travel time is not increased.
