Love the progress with this one. Would be good if the opposite Franklin/Morphett corner (south west) got a nice sized building in the near future.

[APP] Re: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | Mixed Use

Announcement on the ACC site: http://www.cityofadelaide.com.au/media-centre/whats-new/council-plan-to-revitalise-the-heart-of-north-adelaide Given the inability of council to decide on how to build a bike lane I'll be very surprised if this process goes smoothly. Well said mshagg. Scary thought hav...

Maybe the final paint job will help, but it is student accommodation, and it is set back from the main street.

I'm more than impressed at how quickly this one got built. But. Does this building help to modernise the Adelaide CBD skyline?....... A big no. Does it fit in with the North Terrace vibe? ....A big yes. In summary, i'm sitting on the fence with this brown concrete block  It is, what it is. P...

Wouldn't be dissapointed if this ever happened. It's fugly. Sorry You do know the reasons for blank walls in these developments, don't you? It's no use selling the apartments with 'seaviews' and/or 'hillsviews' balconies when they will eventually be built next to up to the property border. It's a v...

[VIS] Re: Former RAH Site (Design Competition)

As much as I dislike utilising parklands for private development which isn't community orientated - if the buildings are already there and heritage, would love to see this building and its next door neighbor as a residential or hotel conversion. Superficially well suited for it and could help fund ...

Something like this would have really enhanced the skyline and density. Like others have said "a real missed opportunity".

What a shame. Was really hoping this one would eventuate.
I agree but I was always concerned about the location, abutting a hospital. Somewhere the eastern side of Pulteney or farther north or south would be fantastic for building up this city street which is very under developed.

Re: Mount Gambier | Developments & News

Same. Btw I didn't realise Murray Bridge was that big now. Despite both being outer suburbs of Adelaide now, it would be interesting to see where Gawler and Mt Barker would fit in that list. Town of Gawler, which includes Bibaringa (5118) Evanston (5116) Evanston Gardens (5116) Evanston Park (5116)...

Re: Mount Gambier | Developments & News

I've only heard it as a tourist marketing term. Referring to everything touristy along the coast from Selleck's Hill to Deep Creek. Which would preclude it from the "contiguous urban area" qualification It's only the 3 small urban areas of Normanville, Yankallila and Carrickalinga. Gawler and immed...
