[CAN] Re: New headquarters for Bendigo and Adelaide Bank
Where on HSQ is their current site? ADELAIDE - TOWARDS A GREATER CITY SKYLINE It's in the south-east corner, pretty regular looking building. Here's a link to google street-view with a view of the current building. http://maps.google.com.au/?ie=UTF8&t=h&layer=c&cbll=-34.925281,138.60648...

[COM] Re: #Proposed: 79-91 Rundle Mall, 19 Storey Office and Retail
Wow... that looks great. Still hoping for some more high-end retail in Grenfell Street to complement Hugo Boss and Bang and Olufssen Agreed. I think high-end retail is excellent because it carries with it a certain sense of prestige, and I think the new Hugo Boss store looks great. Hopefully if the...

Re: New Optus TV Advert - Featuring Adelaide!
well in that case great publicity for Adelaide!!
From memory I saw shots of Adelaide from Victoria Square looking North to City Central, and shots of King William St South, obviously because of the Optus Centre being located there.

Re: New Optus TV Advert - Featuring Adelaide!
I saw this ad aswell (think we must have seen it at the same time) however at the end of the ad when the camera zoomed out to show the satellite picture of Australia it looked like it was zooming out from the Sydney area (if that makes sense). So I'm a bit suspicious as to whether they just use that...

Re: Adelaide's No.1 News?
i like channel 7's backdrop with the live (i think) shot of Adelaide. Better than Channel 9's pictures from like 3 years ago. Speaking of Channel 10, is there any real chance on them moving the Adelaide news back here? Since they just built their new building is there any room for a news studio in t...

Re: #Proposed : Port Adelaide Tram Line
lol the title of that pdf is Sustainable Adelaide. When I glanced over it I thought it said Sensational Adelaide, especially because the Adelaide is in bold, just like the logo here. Also that picture of a tram is also not the best photoshop job.. looks quite fake to me lol

Re: Beer Garden
it does look quite nice .. i really like the SA star logo thing they use with the brilliant blend slogan. Much better than Victoria's stupid jigsaw puzzle. On the website I did notice that in 2006-07 mining was only 4.3% of the states total gross product. How this is about to all change

i think if NIMBY posts one more piece of crap he should be banned permanently. If they were using hard evidence to back up these idiotic claims then thats alright .. but he's just posting crap to piss everyone off. We certainly do NOT need these type of people of S-A

just curious what is the ACC height restriction for this area? 72 metres. oh ok thanks .. unless height restrictions change it would be pretty impossible to build a new tallest here because it would have to be double the height restricition  hopefully the ACC will relax restrictions sooner rat...

So... it's been over two years and there hasn't been a word from the developers what's going on. When does the DA expire? A further 12 month extension to the DA was granted on April 22. Maybe they are listening to our opinions. Cheers well in case they are BUILD A NEW TALLEST BUILDING ON THI...

so does that mean they get approval for demolition and then while they are demolishing the old building they will *hopefully* get approval for the new design? Like 400KWS (although hopefully this moves quicker than that)

Do you mean a lightbox like what World Tower in Sydney has?? or something else?Howie wrote:Do note that there is a lightbox on top now.
The new design does seem a bit bland compared to the old one, but I will reserve further judgement until better renders come out.
