[VIS] Re: #VIS: Royal Adelaide Hospital Rebuild
From memory, the original issue was that a significant percentage of the 'new beds' were for day procedures and therefore not a technical increase in capacity for ongoing patients or overnight / multiple day stays. Not sure if that has been changed or not. A client of mine works at the hospital and...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment - General Discussion Thread
politicians should not try to use sport for political advantage Politicians will try to use everything - everything - for poiltical advantage. Always have, always will. Deal with it. I read that and thought exactly the same thing. And just to add, we as voters create that behaviour BTW. We judge ev...

[COM] Re: South Road Upgrades | PRO: South Road Superway
Not sure if this has anything to do with the superway, but there's an excavator and some sort of machine parked at the South/Days road intersection.. Didn't see any construction going on...so since the signs advertising the superway are up, I guess this is somehow related? :?: Also there are works ...

[COM] Re: APP: Rundle Place (Harris Scarfe) | 102m 21lvl Office/Re
The skyline doesn't interest me as much as the street-level, especially along Rundle Mall. Do we have any images of what we're getting? (I'm betting - more floor-to-ceiling glass) Am I right to think that we're still losing an alley? No, we are not losing an alley. Furthermore the development recog...

I was looking through the thread trying to find out when construction of this one is due to start but didn't see it. When is this one due to start?
My apologies if someone has already posted this and I'm just being blind.

Steven says: March 19, 2010 at 11:45 am How frightening, chairs that light up and speak when you pass them. if i was a tourist that would worry me all the way back to my hotel. I just saw on Rann's twitter something about the AFR exposing Liberal costings for the hospital rebuild as political spin to which they've admitted. Does anyone have the article or know more about this? This is all I could get from the website: SA Libs admit hospital funds ‘spin’ PUBLISHED : 19 Mar ...

Ambition is a wonderful thing and I really wish this "vision" was true but I can't help think yep vote grabbing and as soon as the election is over this will slowly die the inevitable death it has coming. Colour me cynical but I can't see this happening any time soon and putting together a...

Ok so I'm going to break ranks with most of the posts about this and say that I actually really like to proposal! I think it looks great and I think it's a great FIRST step in the torrens redevelopment. I don't think this is a complete solution nor is it meant to be but the economic benefits are the...

You cannae change the laws of physics! Then perhaps you'd like to tell me exactly what the flaw in my reasoning is: Does a building that has glass walls not let more sunlight in? Does it not turn into heat once it's in there? Do we not have to use air conditioning to get rid of that extra heat? The...

fair enough, i'll cop that sweet. While yes I can agree that the building looks interesting I still doubt it will ever be built. Like Howie said, this is federally funded and is therefore not contingent on the election outcome. So there is a very good chance it will indeed be built. A healthy amoun...

I drove past it the other night and both the dome and the screens were lit up. It looks really really cool. I was a bit dubious about how this looked during the day but i'm converted because it looks great at night time. There's also red lit framing that goes around the new glass entrance, overall i...
