[COM] Re: Bowden Rail Tunnel

There are many places in Adelaide where rail tunnels would be a good idea. IMO this isn't one of them because it would do absolutely nothing to improve the rail service! As for the tram, unless they extend it to meet the line first, this is going to be yet another of those projects which makes thin...

looks like 50's British-style commercial industrial is back in vogue The more I look at it, the more I think you're spot-on here. And in a wierd way, that makes me appreciate it a bit more :? You'd have to try pretty hard to make Richmond Road look any worse, anyway. reminds me also of that new apa...

Seriously, it would be nice for non-SACA/footy members just to see what our $ have bought.

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment Thread - Now Includes Poll!

VFL fanatics Australia wide wanted this to go ahead. for the most part, the rest could not care.

regardless, parliament still has to vote on this development. the Liberals have hinted they still have some concerns that need to be addressed.

Because they were all but guessing or because they wanted to scare those for the development into taking the time to vote. interesting. i'm certain most would agree with you. however if i were to level similar claims of perversion of facts against the Advertiser for other stories relating to bigger...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment Thread - Now Includes Poll!

That 60% proxy vote figure was quoted from Advertiser sources. Hardly confirmation from SACA itself. The 2,000 attendance figure was SACA's expectation ahead of the meeting. More than that turned up. SACA weren't running the ballot. Independent firms with reputations at stake were, so I doubt anyth...
