[U/C] Re: Adelaide Oval Hotel

Unlike the Grand Prix, I think it's very likely this will happen. If there is to be a GP next year in Australia it would be in Melbourne in October or November. ...

[U/C] Re: 269 North Terrace | 118m | 36 Levels | Student accommodation

I just find it poor planning by Adeladean to not buy the corner plot, I understand views aren't guaranteed but developers choose blocks to maximise profits, so you build opposite parks, next to heritage etc. Adelaide is surrounded by parks, yet our tallest buildings have views of an other building ...

After this building goes up there's not much else on the horizon. That east terrace building called momentum appears to be dead.

Was at the airport the other day, this one makes a huge impact and stands up prominently in the skyline.
What were you doing at the airport at this time ?

Has anybody seen any images with the top of the Walker Tower shown?, it always seems to be cut off to not overwhelm the space - just co-incidence I guess?
There's not many images showing the tower, since there's a lot of uncertainty about if and when it's going to go ahead.

Just saw on the news that Emirates has pulled out of Adelaide :o

Hopefully it's just during the pandemic.
They had already suspended adelaide flights for covid19. This announcement is for them withdrawing permanently.

[PRO] Re: 51 Pirie Street | ~86m | 21 Levels | Hyatt

This should be knocked back. Big global brands like Hyatt should be in buildings pushing for the tallest, not seeing reductions. These are the types of buildings that are more likely, or should be, to see a unique and outstanding design.   so the govt should reject it because its not tall enough ? ...
