SA rail lobby group push for return of a Barossa commuter tourist train https://www.barossaherald.com.au/story/6319634/barossa-commuter-tourist-train-must-return/ They should also make the point that during the cruise ship season (October to April) trains with tourists can go from Outer Harbor to t...

Been that way for over 4 weeks. I sent an email to AAL they were going to have it fixed-seems to be they are in no hurry to fix it.
The camera angle has gotten worse!

I doubt there would be an interest in a Hawaii stopover. You might as well stop over in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Auckland for pretty much the same thing.
I know what you mean but...Yuck!

Why would you need to get rid of them... Things just need to be moved around What do you want this land to be used for? Be specific. Cheers Uhh.. A multipurpose stadium, the thing we're discussing Yes a multi-purpose stadium or arena (whatever you want to call it) where the current Memorial Drive t...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

[...] Direct non stop Adelaide to LAX is doable technically. Whether it's profitable for airlines is another thing. That's the question. Out of all those airlines you mentioned, Hawaiian would be the best as you wouldn't need to fly direct but have a nice stopover. Good if you are a tourist. Busine...

[VIS] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

There's plenty of room at Memorial Drive for a new indoor arena. People just need to think beyond demolishing an old stadium and rebuilding on top of it. Next Gen Gym, the outdoor courts next to it. They can all be demolished, and a new indoor arena built there. There's nothing saying that War Memo...

[VIS] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

Why would we split up the potential CBD sports precinct by moving the Tennis out to what is effectively the middle of nowhere as far as public transport and hospitality/retail is concerned instead of moving the Netball to Memorial Drive? As far as I'm concerned, there is a lack of room to expand th...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

[...] Part of the "showing age" comment also refers to the pedigree of the aircraft. The B777 was developed in the mid 90's with very minor upgrades / enhancements since (pending 777X). It is also much noisier than other aircraft. Very true the pedigree. I've never been too fussed about the noise i...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

IMO Emirates are highly overrated, they’re really just the greyhound buses of the sky. I’d fly Singapore or even Qantas over them any day. I do hope Qantas launch more international services direct from Adelaide at some point. The A320neo will be a very interesting proposition for connecting cities...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

I was on EK441 / EK440 very recently. To say that both flights were half full would be generous. Not surprised about rumours of dropping back from daily. In addition, the B777's used on this flight are showing their age. Will go with Qatar or Singapore A350 next time. You should be happy if the fli...

Emirates will be reducing their service from daily to 5 weekly between 11 Nov and 20 Nov. Don't have the days as yet. Perhaps Stefan may help us.
