Don't panic. The libs will talk about it Labor will build it and do it properly Neither will build this where it is. Wrong place and badly configured. Huge waste of money. We've said it before under this topic and others (Memorial Drive), etc. As rev , a few others and me have said. Redevelop Memor...

I love the term "cul de sac"..."arse end of the sack".

This implies Gawler Place will be a pedestrian mall with only delivery and emergency service access.

This will still be better than Dwell. As you said SRW if the fins are metallic it will be a winner. I suspect they won't be precast concrete panels like those prevalent in the Brutalist period.

Imagine if this was being built with the originally proposed full glazing instead of the current facade with the spandrels..... Still, with the crisp white concrete, the contrast is great. I've got high hopes for this site. Perhaps if it was an office tower it would've been floor to ceiling...

Going by memory Westpac House is about 44.5 metres AHD. The proposed development at 75 King William Street (corner King William and Currie Streets) is 44.68 metres AHD. To the west Luminesque/Sofitel ground level would be several metres lower than Westpac. For the Grenfell Centre to be the same heig...

In ChillyPhilly 's image, which I have cropped, you can see how annoying mirrored glass reflections can be to guests in the Intercontinental. Another good reason why the Hyatt development in Pirie Street should not have mirrored or highly reflective glass. https://i.postimg.cc/FKyN3J0P/0y6k-YBk-2.jp...

This is the building in question. Even if spruced up, I don’t think it’s all that appealing. https://www.flickr.com/photos/dct66/4507457048/ You think so? A spruce up would improve it for sure. Would be nice if they incorporated it into the final design. This development is in such a prime location...

They are advertising an opening special on their website $199 per night from 1 Oct for 4 months. So does that mean any major sports side/country are now unlikely to be coming here to play/stay in that time (if the public are free to book it out)? Fully booked out no way. However it will be interest...
