I would love to see a national indigenous cultures centre in Australia and preferrably Adelaide, but struggle to comprehend how a centre in Adelaide would put us "on the map" more so than centres listed interstate in the excellent article that gnrc_louis posted on 24/4. Perhaps time for a ...

It's amazing that a certain round of footy can prompt someone to spend a few $$$'s on daggy bits of infrastructure.

I see this situation as a complete waste of taxpayer money. We have a fancy bit of new infrastructure, tizzy it up for the grand opening, then either bicker about who is responsible for ongoing maintenance (ie state or local govt) or totally ignore it. Not to mentioned street furniture that is hopel...

I believe this is the parcel of land bounded by Main South Rd, Aldinga Beach Rd, How Rd and Quinliven Rd.
Labor also have a policy of aligning Aldinga and Aldinga Beach Roads into a single intersection with Main South Rd as part of the FCA package. This will need some of the "reserved" land.

Interesting how this is a slanging match over which party is responsible, yet Acciona's performance as the managing contractor is completely overlooked.
In reality, once funded and the "under contruction" signs are up, how is any political party going to seriously imact the timeline?

This is confusing since the Feds have already partnered with the SA Government in delivering the Regional North-South Freight Route along this exact corridor. Works are just about complete.

The choice of aircraft looks deliberate to test the Adelaide market.
Qantas also have B789 in their fleet which would easily cover the distance direct from Melbourne, although slightly smaller capacity over the A332.
