Re: News & Discussion: Roads & Traffic

This has been promised year after year. It is an absolute bottleneck especially in the evening peak. It causes congestion along Anzac Highway too, sometimes almost to South Road. Money for the Brighton Road level crossing before this is disappointing too.

First glazing applied today. Unfortunately this version with the mirrored edges is only for the lower levels. Hopefully the glazing at least stays as reflective for the upper levels.

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

I would have thought Anzac to Tonsely would have been more of a priority given constant congestion in this area. Not to mention it would finally provide an almost direct connection to the CBD for the southern suburbs via Anzac Highway. Also the cost to buy a large number of commercial properties in ...

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport

A bus lane along Anzac Highway Glenelg bound between South Road and Marion Road is what is really needed considering the gridlock every evening peak. Can sit waiting on a bus for more than 20 mins on that stretch alone. I'm sure such a lane would increase bus patronage considering the constant traff...

There's reference to this being another modular design in the application documents i.e. similar to the approved Lester Hotel on West Terrace.

Therefore if it goes ahead it will go up quickly. Will really stand out at this end of town too. Good to see some height developing around Light Square.

Modular construction appears to be why this one is expected to be constructed in such a short space of time. Probably explains the basic design too. http://www.afr.com/real-estate/commercial/hotels-and-leisure/adelaide-the-new-hotel-hotspot-as-choice-reveals-50m-luxury-offering-20150430-1mvnck Adela...
