If money was no object, I’d tunnel under Brighton and Jetty Rd to an underground terminus at Moseley Square.
More realistically, if the level crossing had to be eliminated, I think they would cut short the line to terminate at Brighton Rd.

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure
It will be problematic if you get up in the morning, and instead of being charged, the car has discharged into the grid overnight and hasn't yet had a chance to recharge from the sun. Whether this is feasible will depend on how much power you use overnight, which season it is, and what time in the m...

It's not the record, but close. Sydney's WestConnex is Australia’s largest road infrastructure project linking Western and South Western Sydney with the city, airport and port in a 33km continuous motorway, with an estimated project cost of $16.8 billion.

Only 15 per cent of Adelaide's road network has a free-flow travel speed exceeding 50km/h, compared to 55 per cent of Sydney's and Melbourne's, 86 per cent of Brisbane's and 91 percent of Perth's road network. Terrible. What counts as "Adelaide's Road Network" that 15% of it has a speed l...

The brick structures in photo 2 appear to be part of the foundations of the residential wing. As an aside, when Lot 14 was just getting started, they used an apartment on the ground floor of that Residential Wing building as the temporary End of Trip facility for the tenants employees to have a show...

St Marys is on the eastern side of South Rd. These properties are on the western side, which is Clovelly Park. The article says "Upwards of 10 homes and businesses have already been knocked down ... of a total 64 properties to be acquired for the project at Clovelly Park".

To put it another way, the "massive footpaths" are going to have a line painted on them to separate the bikes from the pedestrians. The bikes will be up off the vehicle road surface, on the same level as the pedestrians.

That sounds like a valid concern given the flooding we saw on Greenhill Rd during the last heavy rain event on June 5 last week.

I think I'm one of the only people who selfishly wanted the James Road roundabout to go ahead. Back in pre-COVID times when I had a morning commute, it would have made my morning commute faster. When turning right from James Road onto Old Belair Road towards the city, the roundabout would mean only ...

Re: News & Discussion: National Broadband Network
While working from home, the speed at which you can upload and download files from work servers really matters. On FTTN, I'm currently paying $110/month to get 100 Mbps down and 40 Mbps up. I'd be happy to pay $50/month more, so $160/month total, if it gave me a stable gigabit connection. If it was ...
