Re: Negativity in Adelaide
I agree with Claybro that a conservative attitude has too much influence over our city, but as for negativity, I wouldn't take Adelaide Now for anything but a load of shit. Ive mentioned somewhere before that Ive heard a significant number of hideous posts are actually Advertiser staff deliberately ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council
every single CBD in Australia has had a 40 km limit for quite a while. This is such a no brainer, no discussion needed

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council
I like the wired, cantenary style little globe lighting installed in Bank St, Ebenezor Place, Synagogue Place, little leafy walkway near Mother Vine etc, but just one thing, are we not allowed to actually turn them on. Bank St ones haven't been turned on months, Synagogue Place I have only seen them...

Re: [West Franklin] | 63/54m | 3 x 17-20lvls | Apartments
I spoke to a guy from Brisbane last week and he said parking their is very expensive, presumably because there's not much supply due to the small CBD there. and you should see how deserted Brisbane CBD is and how hardly any buildings have been constructed over the last 2 decades because of being &q...

Re: [West Franklin] | 63/54m | 3 x 17-20lvls | Apartments
Ever walked down Pitt Street during lunch time, morning peak, evening peak or any time on Friday? Because I walk down at least a few times a week as I work around the corner and I can tell you the current footpath is woefully inadequate. The extended footpath is most welcome by those who use it. bu...

Re: [West Franklin] | 63/54m | 3 x 17-20lvls | Apartments
I am looking forward to the new supermarket. The only supermarket outside of Rundle Mall in the Adelaide CBD is the Coles on Grote street and I am sick to death of trying to find a car park nearby. I've never experienced anything more frustrating then spending 20 minutes circling around in my car a...

have you heard of the pot calling the kettle black because you are clearly a Liberal voter so accusing someone else of not being impartial is hilariousWaewick wrote:

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects
not sure why they would move Bowden Station east towards Park Tce. No one lives in the parklands, and no one takes a train to the parklands. Id leave the station where it is because it will be in the middle of the Bowden midrise apartments in the next few years, and is closer to the Ent Centre/Hindm...

the visual of this on that website seems to make it look like its only 4-5 levels high but the crane height suggests its higher?

Re: Bowden TOD | Developments & News
Bowden is finally starting to get interesting, especially once the new Plant 4 retails precinct opens. Nearly all developments have sold out prior to completion so far so I wish it could chug along slightly quicker as there doesn't seem to be the usual Adelaide problem of over-flooding an area with ...

Am I missing something here. An apartment situated over the road from green parklands, a 5 min walk to Rundle St East, a 7 min walk to Hutt St cafes, and people are saying that its in a iffy spot. WTF. By the way, the homeless are spread throughout the city. Ive walked past this site many times at n...

[COM] Re: Rundle Mall Redevelopment | $30m
It just seems that Adelaide's car dependency is getting worse, while Bris, Syd, Melb and Perth is getting much better. There is just a huge proportion of suburban Adelaidean's that find it completely inconceivable that you can get anywhere other than in a car, and it has to be in a SUV. As someone t...

Re: SA Economy
Does anyone else find it absurd that the State Govt is spending $120 million or so on the O-Bahn extension that no one really wants, instead of the $70 million needed for the electrification of the Gawler train line? :? Not if the economics of replacing perfectly capable trains doesn't stack up. I ...
