Adam Hannon from Cox Architects takes us on a tour of Adelaide Oval Redevelopment. http://www.theplan.net.au/?p=3009 Great first shot with the panoramic view of the city from the back of the Southern Stand. Undercuts previous opinions on the view being interrupted by that beautiful old red gum(s). ...

[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m

I drove past the Oval tonight with a mate of mine, an avid AFL and cricket supporter and he said "It's pretty shit what they've done. They've ruined the most picturesque cricket oval in the world and replaced with a bowl. They replaced all the classic stands to make way for more seating and de...

[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m

The builders have blocked off access to the stairs at the rear of the Members Stand. If you want to take pictures, I was told its easier to access the Northern Mound Decking and walk out onto the hill area to snap away. Will be back in town later this week and was thinking to have a look from the n...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

That would be awesome. Equally a service to Christchurch would be beneficial for Emirate/Qanatas. I understand Emirates fly out from Christchurch...why not stop in Adelaide on the way and take on extra passengers as I sure they wouldnt have full capacity out of Christchurh.
Cheers

I think it looks really good. Sleek, modern and will age well in my opinion. Was there not any kind of water feature planned?

Although it isnt the biggest project happening atm, but its one of the largest in terms of creating a crucial fokal point of the city centre. Its not only going to begin to rebrand Adelaide...

What does everyone think of this other design? Personally I think the design being built is much more elegant and timeless than this. http://indaily.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/image00127.jpg Monday, 4 March 2013 Liam Mannix YOU’RE looking at what could have been Adelaide’s new riverbank footbridge....

Guessing this will start up soon? Not that I'm an expert, I question how this can all be done in time for the cricket by years end.
