Re: M1 South-Eastern Freeway
Why not just install a concrete barrier in the median strip of Cross Rd? Sure, this wouldn't stop traffic heading west on Cross Rd from being hit by an out of control truck, but neither would moving the stop line for the intersection further east. There's probably not enough concrete in all of Sout...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
With the revised extent of the cut and cover portion of the tunnel that was announced a few months ago, there are a few businesses still operating in buildings that will be demolished. The project maps seem to indicate that the OTR is the last one that needs to go, although I've also heard that the ...

[APP] Re: 126 Wright Street | 57m | 18 levels | Apartments | Soul on Wright
I was speaking with someone involved in an 18 level building on Wright Street. It could be this one, it could be one of the others (16 levels, 2 basement maybe?). I wasn't in a position to ask too many questions, although I'd consider them a reasonable source. Construction of something with 18 level...

Construction here is meant to start here in the next few months. Unless there's another 18 story buildings proposed on Wright Street?

A better link between the coastal path and both the Marino Rocks Greenway and the Mike Turtur Bikeway would be great

Ahh, never change, Adelaide: A government spokesperson responded: “The State Government is not currently investigating a rail link between Adelaide Airport and the city, and has no plans to do so.” Big Country Town Mentality. It is disappointing to see such a categorical refusal to even consider bu...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
A ground level carpark. Relatively cheap to build, relatively easy to build on top of. These things don't need to exist forever. The nature of large precincts such as the airport means that you can't build everything in its final form all at once. It goes like this: Demolish some old sheds and build...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
When do we go back to talking about the airport? When people stop feeding the troll. Easier to put them on ignore and let them starve... Back onto the airport, they're currently building a new ground level carpark opposite Bunnings and Ikea. It's a reasonably large area. Apparently this will replac...

Re: News & Discussion: Low/Mid-Rise CBD Development
The 5 story building at 199 Grenfell St is being renovated. I believe this is linked to the new WCH and the closure of the Police Barracks, with SAPOL moving into the building once complete.
