[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

I am talking about what are Labor's [and Liberal's] position going forward to give us the ability to decide [at the next election]. They both need to clearly state their policies esp. if a toll road is an option. It appears to be no. The options appear to range from $5b - $13b and from 5 yrs to 10 y...

[VIS] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

You would think any new SA acquatic centre would be built at its current site at North Adelaide...especially if the Fed. Govt and/or Crows part/wholly fund it.

So far Labor has stayed silent on their policy/proposal for the final 10.5km. I expect it could be a political issue before the next election [max. 2 years 3 months time]. However if the Libs get tenders, sign contracts in the meantime for it to be a 10-year+ plan then that's it, right?

What will be interesting is if you fast forward it 10 years..and say they have killed off all other hardware stores ie Mitre10/Home hardware etc, matching or beating your competitors prices won't be an issue if there are no competitors.

Re: SA Economy

I agree and feel like we are all waiting for something to turn or even happen. Is there any signs yet of the $90 billion defence/naval contract and the 5000 or so jobs needed? Do we expect interstate/overseas skilled workers to get the majority of these jobs anyway? Is there anything else big in the...

Re: Petrol Station Owners

In the ‘tiser, Aldi’s are trying to get approval to sell their own brand alcohol in SA. It says for supermarkets in Australia only SA and Qld don’t allow alcohol to be sold. Do you think this will change? If so, could service stations be next? Are they allowed to do so in any other state? Imagine 24...

Yes I agree and its good there’s no change to Mile End. I heard that they will be closing the Marion Bunnings with the next Westfield expansion/re-development. Does anyone know if they will come back once it’s finished?

This article below was from the ‘Tiser in October. Anyone know if the building works are going to plan & on schedule? Hit musical SIX, which retells the lives of Henry VIII’s wives as a modern pop concert, will be the first major show at Her Majesty’s Theatre when it reopens next year. The Australia...

I agree. The only thing is if Gawler Pl [both sides] cost $17m can you imagine what Currie & Grenfell St would cost? They are each prob 5x to 10x the size/bigger.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Does anyone know if the new International area will have its own separate security check point [ie conveyor belt to x-ray bags, body scan] or will they use just the existing area and then you keep walking left, if so it will be quite a walk.

Does anyone know what happened to the proposal to take people up to Flinders Uni [from the end of Flinders link]? I know it was a bit far fetched but with the autonomous cars at Tonsley etc I thought it might have happened.
