[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Looks like new traffic light just north of Regency Road intersection (by one of those industrial area streets) and one on the coopers corner. I wonder if there will be a temporary roundabout with traffic lights ala what was done at Grange Road This will be a temporary u-turn facility for when right...

There's an on ramp heading north and an off ramp heading south, immediately north of the cross over of port road. Thats it. Getting on or off just before the brickworks is not an off/on ramp for port road. Three major arterials that dont have on/off access in both directions thats pretty poor. I’d ...

It's likely that the lighter patches were completed months before opening whereas the darker patches were completed just before opening.

With the Target gone I wonder how this changes the Aldi plans? Wouldn’t make much sense to build when you have a huge vacant space next door.

As expected, construction continues on this site today despite Kaufland pulling the pin.
Actually the building is being dismantled. Steel frame has been removed leaving just the precast walls propped up.

I wonder when Google maps will update with the road?
I looked into this, unless DPTI is a member of Google’s Base Map Partner Program, not a lot will happen until Google’s algorithms draw the new route. For example with t2t it took a few weeks to be properly formed in maps.

[COM] Re: Northern Connector | 14km | $1b

Can someone please explain the arrangement with service centres in context of the Northern Connector? Did the Government deem it necessary that at some point along the NC there should be a fuel stop, with the easiest way of achieving this designing the off ramp to go right past the OTR? or Did Pereg...

Thinking outside the square, was it ever considered to split the N-S route to reduce the footprint and potentially land acquisition costs? Example: Southbound 3 lanes trench/cut and cover from T2T to Tonsley - Following South road alignment Northbound 3 lanes trench/cut and cover from Darlington to ...

The end state has no right turn provided from northbound PWR to northbound NExy. It has to close permanently some time in the next two months. The southbound NExy to NC needs to be built across the alignment of that ramp before it can open. It's already built, all they need to do move the barriers ...

How about stacking the road to reduce the footprint? Eg. 3 lane trench southbound and northbound runs on top of it at surface Iike a double decker? This was an element in one of the early proposed designs of T2T between Port and Grange roads
