[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
Probably late news, but it appears that the A13 designation for South Road has been retired in urban Adelaide, as it has all been coverplated for A2 South Road. Also the Salisbury Highway has now been re-designated as A9, presumably to tie into the Port River Expressway.

Still thinking they missed a trick by not running a flyover for Morphett Rd northbound or Oaklands Rd southbound.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
I don't care if they would pay me to fly with them i would never fly with air asia, its a bit like Russian roulette. I agree to a certain extent. Although I like to see more carriers to Adelaide, Air Asia is one of those we shouldn't be crying out for. QANTAS instead, as already mentioned in the th...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
Have noticed tonight that signs for South Road in the t2t area are getting the A13 changed to A2 to bring it in line with the M2 for the motorway. Roads I noticed the change on were Ashwin Parade and Hawker Street. Will be interesting to see if they alter all the way down to the Southern Expressway...

They're laying asphalt along both sides of Port Road leading up to the new bridge in preparation for putting the road back from whence it came. It's nice to see that the footpaths around this intersection have been widened considerably as part of the works. The new northbound surface road between T...

ITS would partially solve the no shoulder problem.[Shuz] wrote:They definitely stuffed up Gallipoli Underpass design. 3 lanes at 80kph cannot fit without any shoulders for emergencies and an extremely narrow median.

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
The big drawback with tunnels and trenches is that, in the future when demand has increased and the road has reached capacity, they cannot be easily widened to accomodate extra lanes. So it is deirable that you make them extra wide to future proof them. For that reason, 6 lanes for the inner city s...

I know there has been discussion on linking the SE Freeway with the the Sth/Nth Corridor I saw a few pages back. What do you see at the best way to achieve this? The end of the SE Freeway, traveling down Cross Road, linking up to the corridor? The end of the SE Freeway, down Glen Osmond Road, down ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
With the failure of Masters , the airports property development strategy is looking a bit under pressure. particularly at Parafield Airfield where they have a ridiculous amount of unused vacant land. Maybe it is time for the super funds who own these assets to take a different approach. The best pl...

Sorry for the bad quality photo, but I'm liking these new big, coloured VMS signs they have installed on the Southern Expressway. I hope these will be installed along the rest of the Darlington and Torrens projects. https://evom5g-ch3302.files.1drv.com/y3mS6QYuGkf9C3FarwvlyKQg9Lz3wjMVWqwwhtCn--5uSZ...
