[COM] Re: 73-79 Pirie Street | ~82m | 21 Levels | Office
Adelaide Development Company, hmmm... I believe they are overseeing the Gawler Chambers development. I guess that will get put on the back burner until this is done then.... I don't want to sound like Patrick here but there goes my confidence in this development. They can't even get the Gawler Cham...

[COM] Re: 269 North Terrace | ~115m | 34 Levels | student accommodation
I honestly hope this falls through. I don’t think it will be 115m, knowing how they develop Student accomodation (e.g. urbanest), they squish the levels into 70m. I’m going to make a brave call and say that it’s going to look about as glamorous and thrilling as GHS’s face on his birthday sitting in ...

[COM] Re: 114 Waymouth Street | 78m | 26lvl | U2 Apartments
Well if this development is destined to be a hole while under construction or SWP, shit happens. If you ignore Le Cornu, Adelaide City hasn’t had something like this for decades. No it’s not nice but one of the many developments going on was bound to fail at some point. I’m glad it was U2 because it...

Correct me if I’m wrong but Hasn’t the people building the Adelaidean petitioned for the church to be heritage listed?
They really should have bought the property to secure thei space of their tower views which seems to be a major part of what they market on.

Re: Port Adelaide | Developments & News
Not to sound like a NIMBY but heritage is the foundation of Port Adelaide. Take away the heritage, you take away the Port.

[COM] Re: Festival Centre office tower | 108m | 27 levels | office
According to the article, it's also been downgraded to 23 levels from 27. The tower was pitched as 27 storeys but the company is now describing a 23-storey building, delivering about 40,000 sqm of office space and a 4000 sqm premium retail and entertainment precinct — the latter within a three-leve...

The building is probably the most safest design you could do. It’s not too “Soviet square” but also not too “capitalist crazy”.
The Sensible centre.
The only way they could screw this up is by painting it army green (did I jinx this).

The part that is sectioned off and flattened is quite small. I thought they were demolishing the carpark and building next to it as well. Or are they building the base in stages?

That’s really exciting, in Australian cities each time a decent apartment goes up, foot traffic goes on the street which is great for the vibrancy if the city. I’ve just come back from China and they seem to begin building before the building has confirmed occupancy which brings in a real deadness t...

I just thought I’d let everyone know that Kodo rhymes with Phodo with a “ph” which is rather interesting when you think about it. On a less serious note, I just notice that it’s going to blot out the Telstra building viewing from the south. I didn’t realise how in line it was. Also does anybody know...

I have word that one of the new stores opening up after at the Village will be a Hennes & Mauritz store (H&M). It will be the first one for our state and will fit demographic quite well. Also Cotton On Group are looking to expand to this centre. Watch this space folks. Yeah right. Rundle Pl...

Mmm not sure about this one. Would rather it be left like it was. Tea Tree Plaza is one of Australia’s best structures up there with the Harbour Bridge. That shouldn’t be changed. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/proxy/wKmomKF2PoCem19EeDZ_lUtgMafb6zgjUZ8aXeqD_QRsFYAMcYILym9etEtnZDfXfFxEzErOMo4xeXhw...

I don’t have a problem with the rectangular design, what I do have a problem with is it’s proximity to my lunch space at the Waymouth food court because its renders make me want to throw up.
