No, they were new for the indigenous gallery until it was mothballed.

Not sure what the little buildings are. The larger one seems to have too much glass to be a toilet.

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure

if you move house, or upgrade your solar system or add batteries etc, the tariff ends. Realistically though, how would they know if you replaced panels like for like and kept the capacity of the system the same? The inverter's a different story as that, I think, needs to be registered and the new o...

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure

Some of the older and therefore smaller systems are on fixed feed-in rates for the life of the system (or at least for a very long time i.e. 10+ years - I'm not 100% sure of the specifics). My boss has a 10 or so year old 5kw system on his roof that he's currently still getting 40c/kwh for. My under...

Re: News & Developments: Port Adelaide

the trouble with woolies is no matter how big their stores are there's so little choice of anything... they'll just use the extra space as in store warehouse This is why I don't really like shopping at Brickworks - it takes twice as long to get round and there's always stuff I can't get. For exampl...

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure

No matter what the reasons for higher retail prices are, it's not because renewables are more expensive to install. They are cheaper and faster to deploy. The only coal plants being built worldwide are either by governments or guaranteed by taxpayers. The private sector won't touch them unless ther...

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure

To be fair there are valid questions here - if prices are going up (which they generally have been markedly in recent years) then what's the cause? Is it directly related to a rise in wholesale prices? If so, what's cause of that? Global events, the transition to non-coal based fuels, something else...

Same mentality kept the level crossing in Croydon too. I dunno, I'm a Croydon resident and an infrastructure 'enthusiast' (if that's the right term) and I'm very glad the long overpass didn't go ahead. The design and contribution to the relatively historic street was poor to start off with and, giv...

Yeah, the Rundle Mall store is way too small. Results in a smaller range, and an unusually cramped experience.
I love Uniqlo but have only visited the CBD store once. The shopping experience was very cramped and frustrating and I'm in no particular rush to go back again.

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million

Are you wondering about their committment to a city campus? I think there are many operational reasons that would explain a smaller start. For example, shifting building end dates likely would have been a challenge for timetabling so they've probably only moved the more straightforward courses now....
