Re: Shift Hindmarsh Stadium into the city

Well it looks like A Coopers Stadium Shift to the CBSD is gaining traction and the 2 sites under consideration are: 1) Over the railway tracks near thew Convention Centre, and 2) At Next Generation next to AO. The old Coopers Stadium and Entertainment Center will be closed down and sold off in orde...

Re: Shift Hindmarsh Stadium into the city

OK I don't think a new stadium should have been in lieu of the new state of the art hospital or research center. ut why not have a rectangular stadium somewhere near AO? It will add quite a lot to the city in terms of an entertainment precinct. What problem is a new city rectangular stadium solving...

Re: SA Economy

They say the (only?) good thing about Brisbane is that your 1 hr to the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast.. And that is true. Sunshine and GC are Brisbane’s good points. Especially Sunshine Coast. Not much good in Brisbane - maybe the river. But ADELAIDE is a better city imo. Got more character and cult...

?? Not sure if you're being serious here. It looks like one of the Churchill Road developments. I wouldn't consider those houses to be part of a slum. How do you define what a slum is? I didn’t. My comment was basically a humorous comment against that particular development because it did not turn ...

Re: SA Economy

I think you'll find the Adelaide jobs market isnt that bad, of course depending on what industry youre in. The S.A unemployment rate often tracks around the same as QLD, sometimes even dipping lower. Thanks mate but we need to put this into perspective. Brisbane I think is the fastest growing Aussi...

I'm currently in Brisbane but Adelaide is in the heart. I am dreading if I move back because of the work situation there. The naysayers have really stifled Adelaide into the ground. [COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m

I agree that Hindmarsh needs to be upgraded as the minimum. But I would be more in favour of building a new 20,000 to 25,000 thousand stadium next to Adelaide Oval somewhere, for many reasons such as transportation and turning the area into a bigger sporting and events hub like they have in Melbour...

Why can't we have something like that in Adelaide?

Re: Shift Hindmarsh Stadium into the city

Adelaide Oval is not in the City! A decade ago we had a great opportunity to build a rectangular stadium in the City, but the idiotic state government built a hospital on the site instead. And could we really be proud of a stadium with a capacity that low? Absolutely we can be proud of a rectangula...

Re: SA Economy

That's a good question.

Brisbane prices are dearer than Adelaide though, but yeh, they are not like Melbourne or Sydney.

I don't know. Supply and Demand?

maybe most people want to live in Sydney and Melbourne for some reason. Demand much greater.
