Re: Riverlea (Buckland Park) | 12,000 dwellings | $3b

What Riverlea needs most urgently is petrol station -preferably with take away food. A couple of weeks ago I had to go to Two Wells running on empty. Virigina is closer with 3 petrol stations.. Also what I was thinking, plus why go home with an almost empty tank in a potential bushfire area?

Re: The Housing Crisis

Elizabeth started with two large employers who needed accommodation for their workers, both immigrants and internal migration. The state government built a lot of housing in "integrated" (I'm not sure if there's a better word) suburbs but created or enforced a class system in the housing t...

Re: News & Discussion: Population Growth

This is just unsustainable growth. If the population growth doesn't slow down, this country will not be considered the 'lucky country' for long The growth rate of the 4 major capitals is third world levels. I haven't been to Perth recently, but I'd imagine the strain on their traffic infrastructure...

Re: The Housing Crisis

Page 2 includes a long article that includes a quote that housing construction was already slowing. Nobody (in the article or here) has attempted to either challenge or explain that statement. There seems to be plenty of land "released" for housing. Has somebody done an analysis of what is...

Re: The SA Politics Thread

I don't care about the Liberal Party mate. I remained unconvinced however that Antic is extreme far right, or even far right. So who do you think is more Right, limiting yourself to current sitting SA MPs in either state or federal parliament, either house, not necessarily Liberal. I don't care. Yo...

Re: The SA Politics Thread

You're just repeating shifty Tom Koutsantonis talking points which have no basis in reality. Lol. Then you'd better tell McBride (The MP for Mackillop- ex Lib) that. After all it was he who accused Antic. As for the ongoing feuds in the Liberal Party, they have been going on since Koutsantonis was ...

Re: Riverlea (Buckland Park) | 12,000 dwellings | $3b

You are both primarily focused on helping future people to move more efficiently in and out of the same single hub that the current public transport system is focused on. My point is that people in outer suburbs own and use cars is because most of their travel is not to and from that hub. One reason...

Re: The SA Politics Thread

Has the "talk" about Tarzia been anywhere other than Koutsantonis working to keep the Liberal Party off balance? I suspect he's playing a long game, in the hopes of being Premier leading in to the next election and working to make sure his opposition retains the perception of disarray.

Re: Riverlea (Buckland Park) | 12,000 dwellings | $3b

Some people on this forum complain about sprawling suburbia on productive farmland. Some complain about excessive commute time/distance. Now we have people wanting to build housing and a new railway line+station on land that is zoned as primary production horticulture. I'm the one who thinks people...
