Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

Here's an overlay of the current network (grey) and the cancelled proposal (colour) so you can see where service was removed or rerouted. https://www.skyscrapercity.com/attachments/adl-old-new-jpg.358793/ This map was created by Gazza2 and posted on the OzScrapers transport forum. Do you have a lin...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

Perhaps you should send this article to both the Premier and the Transport Minister.

[U/C] Re: Flinders Rail Link

They really should make a bus stop at the station, a one way road (loop) could easily be built. Enter Flinders Drive, left onto the service road, left at the weird roundabout, left after the station and left back onto Main South Road. If the grade is too steep you could make a turn around area next...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

I just sent DPTI some feedback on the proposed changes to the Adelaide bus network. First the positive stuff......loved the route numbering simplification. Now what I perceive as poorly thought ideas.... I said that replacing 5 eastern suburb routes (140, 142, 143, 147 etc) with 2 new routes (10 an...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

As mentioned with no buses going direct to the City when the new bus network commences, the Aberfoyle Park/Flagstaff Hill commuters aren't going to be happy with their new options-after arriving at FMC on a 330/X331 bus they will have quite a walk to the new Flinders Link Station, where they will ta...

That only ran a handful of trips-at least you will have an OD service to compensate.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

I hope the "G" buses stop at the new Flinders station. I had to walk from the 681 (this bus is being removed) bus stop 26B on University Drive to the main entrance, it was a 650m walk and 8 mins, the train station would be about 500m from the medical centre interchange, the govt seriously cant thin...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

What parts of Adelaide will lose public transport all together? And how many night buses have been axed? I was not looking that carefully at that, I saw a few of them had new numbers matching the daytime number. In terms of night buses, only the N40 (City to Elizabeth), N1 (City to Tea Tree Plaza v...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

I can only speak for the Aberfoyle and Blackwood areas for local buses but all of the routes in this area are near identical to the current network. The new Aberfoyle-Flinders-Marion 330 is identical to the current 320; the G22X express from Aberfoyle is now the X331 and terminates at Flinders for ...

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport Contracts, Service & Policy

2 very good apps that have been available for a while-"whereDaBus"(developed by a local developer-excellent and free).
The second one is "any trip"-also excellent, but there is a $4.99 if you want to save more than 3 stops-well worth the money-I use both.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

According to the article in today's Advertiser the details of the new Bus Network for Public Consultation release has now been delayed until the end of June to allow the Government and SAPTA to asses the effects of COVID-19 on the future patterns of Public Transport, especially with more people work...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

It appears that no one in DPTI/SAPTA will give a straight answer, all being very evasive?
Have just received an update from SAPTA advising that details will be released late May and now run until the end of July.
