Re: Infill Developments | Metropolitan Adelaide

Norwood Oval is inline for a facelift, with a new western stand set to be given approval at the upcoming DAC meeting. Looks good! Report can be found here: http://www.dac.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0008/279638/Agenda_Item_2.2.2_Report.pdf Some of the reps concerns are quite humorous. Whats tha...

[COM] Re: Festival Centre office tower | 108m | 27 levels | office

Very boxy. Like others have said, any other location and this would be applauded, however in such a prominent site it is abit underwhelming. As others have also raised there's a missed opportunity to incorporate some form of rooftop bar/restaurant. All things considered I think this will be a neat a...

Re: Infill Developments | Metropolitan Adelaide

They will have to provide some significant additional/upgrades to transport infrastructure. Hampstead Road w/ the additional vehicle traffic from Lightsview is already struggling, along with many of the other roads. Buses alone wont cut it, they really do need to deliver some significant P.T to the ...

[COM] Re: 177-179 Victoria Square | 85m~ | 22 Levels | Office

The street level activation proposed in conjunction with the 2 x towers looks great. The towers are meh, not anything outstanding however not anything offensive. The quality of the finish will make or break it. Not surprised the state gov have been called upon to get this over the line, cant see man...

Went past this site today on the obahn and noticed that there was a new sign erected which showed a 6 or 7 story apartment building. Wasnt able to get a picture and havent found anything regarding it online however this sign wasn't there 2 weeks ago so it appears apartments may be back on the cards ...

The western façade is similar in form to Uno on waymouth with its recessed centre. I quite like what they did with Uno, incorporating some bannisters and the vertical garden actually looks amazing in season. They don't have to completely cover it in glass to make it look cool. Something. Anything ....

I believe this hasnt been posted prior, but if it has my apologies! Found a photo of a model for this one on realcommercial. Quite like the look of it, simple, timeless concept. Also having a look at this, there appears to be some differences between both towers tops. Not sure if that's something to...

Re: Housing Developments | Northern Suburbs

I can't see it going ahead. Surely potential buyers would have heard all about the recent floods and its impacts on the area and would be looking elsewhere. Its not like there's a shortage of crummy sprawling suburbs popping up around the place anyway. Should have never been proposed, the state shou...

In a great result for the environment, BP have pulled the pin on their GAB offshore drilling proposal. BP claim the project isn't viable. This is a great result, an oil spill would have torched the agriculture/fishing and tourism industries. Anyone here that read the environmental report released by...

[REJ] Re: 79 Port Road, Thebarton | 36m| 10 & 2 x 8 Levels

I agree with the general consensus here in that whilst this is a solid proposal, its disappointing that the proposed has not factored in any of the existing industrial design elements into the proposed buildings. These transitioning suburbs (Thebarton, Bowden etc.) point of difference is their indus...

Still rolling with the bland glass tower in the renders. I know it'd never happen but if they were to go down the glass tower route, I'd love to see the office tower concept once mooted for 51 Pirie used here. That was a cracker!
