[PRO] Re: Adelaide Oval Hotel

Apparently the ticket sales at Perth Stadium are pretty soft as well, and a lot of stands won't be open. This is really more of an issue with test cricket itself and the state of the Australian team.

[U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: Northern Connector | 14km | $1b

One reason for their relative unpopularity is that a lot of motorways built in Europe/UK with concrete in the post war period quickly got a bad reputation for the constant loud road buzz & 'bump bump bump' sensation as you drove over the gaps and cracks in the surface. The last few remnants of conc...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

The renaming is logical and wise. Would like to see this carried out elsewhere throughout the network where applicable, e.g. changing Dudley Park to Prospect. While we’re on this, why couldn’t Kilburn be relocated out of the backstreets, and shifted 500m south adjacent to the Churchill Centre shopp...

Anyone know how does the cost compare?
This was discussed before. Concrete roads are more expensive but have reduced maintainance costs, especially for roads that see a high amount of truck usage

While both projects are at the same location, the projects are seperate and being built by different consortiums as far as I know

Saw the massive new Bunnings being built near Castle Plaza on South Rd set back only some 1-2m away from the boundary & road. I don’t know what the DTPI plan is - but heaven help if they have to acquire properties on either side for road widening. Based on what I saw it almost has to be a tunnel. T...

[COM] Re: Westfield Marion (Extension)

This is really exciting news, hopefully they can start this soon as the northern part of the centre is looking quite tired. I'm happy that they are rebuilding the northern parking deck as there are a lot of issues with it, including lots of bumps where the expansion joints are. The new northern pede...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

Just a thought bubble, have they considered having 2 way traffic on the service road? Implementing it at the Torrens and Regency intersections might be a bit tricky though. Unless you mean 2 way traffic on both sides, it would be impossible. The whole point of these service roads is to enable acces...

Not that a nation of 25 million people needs it's own space agency, but this is good news for jobs and the local economy. I'm assuming this will be headquartered at Lot 14?
New Zealand has a national space agency, and their population is much smaller than ours!

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

The question would be if these streets are suitable for a large bus, including articulated ones. I drove in that area recently and some of these streets on the map were a bit narrow, and on street parking would need to be removed.
