[PRO] Re: Festival Plaza Tower 2 | 149m | 38 Levels | Office

Rewind 15 years and the site where this building and Building 1 stand was public space. It seems to ask why is public space being given up to a developer to build an office tower. Could the tower not be built on the site of the Riverside Centre? Or between the Intercontinental and North Terrace. Th...

Three times a week Adelaide to the other side of the planet? We've barely scratched the surface with direct flights to the Asian continent.
True, but more Australians visit the US than every Asian country except Indonesia (Bali), so demand is clearly there.

Re: News & Discussion : New Restaurants, Bars & Night Clubs

The latest update on Belles Hot Chicken is that they'll finally open their Adelaide store in April. Considering little is known of where they're opening, I'm not too convinced of this, but happy to be proven wrong. Proven wrong you are! :D Belles Hot Chicken will be located in the Netter Building o...

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million

Inasmuch as the Keystone Tower is counting on AMOSAH to get off the ground, the proposed civic space in this building probably made it all the harder. I was thinking this too. Not a great outcome. Agree. Walker trying to take out some competition I feel. I recall MicBara talking about the Freemason...

Are all the other street upgrades happening at the same time or are they staggered?
Most likely staggered. Council have been pushing for Hindley St to be upgraded first

Re: AFL Gather Round

The 20th AFL team will most likely be in Canberra IMO. If not Canberra, then a third WA team. It won't be Norwood, that's for sure.

Re: AFL Gather Round

There are rumours around suggesting that the AFL will look at bringing in three Gather Rounds per year when Tasmania enter the competition.

Really hope this doesn't happen. Don't kill the golden goose with your greed, AFL.

[U/C] Re: Port Adelaide Dock Spur Line

I really don't understand Adelaide's obsession with building tiny platform shelters that don't even offer any protection or even look good. So many of these useless shelters across the Adelaide Metro network. Agreed, and it most likely just comes down to money. They really should invest in making r...

Morphett Rd grade seperation may also form part of the project whilst the tram line is closed Can confirm Morphett Road grade separation has been scrapped. Scrapped entirely, or just not proceeding at the same time as the Cross Rd and Marion Rd grade separation project? I hope it's just the latter,...

The 2018 Masterplan talks about the potential relocation of the tram stop to Colley Tce so they can better utilise Moseley Square. Judging by those concept drawings, that won't be happening.

Re: The Housing Crisis

Get rid of (grandfather) negative gearing, allow much more intensive development around key corridors, transport hubs and employment centres and you’ll fix half the problem. Negative gearing is NOT the cause of the housing crisis. There is a shortage in supply. There is more demand then there is su...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

What ABC is saying, it appears, is that infrastructure/housing needs to catch up, before we keep bringing in half a million people yearly. Problem - not enough houses/too many people. Therefore adding more people, when we still don't have enough houses, exacerbates the problem and other knock on ef...
