[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

R2P seems to be moving at a blistering pace Its not that big of stretch of road. Its just widening a road and building a bridge over an existing one. If it wasnt moving along smoothly I'd be asking why, considering its not exactly something ground breaking for SA, like say a tunnel under suburbia. ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Just saw on the news that Emirates has pulled out of Adelaide :o Hopefully it's just during the pandemic. They had already suspended adelaide flights for covid19. This announcement is for them withdrawing permanently. Based on the following quote in Advertiser from an Emirates spokesperson, not sur...

Nine News Adelaide to show a story tonight ( Monday ) on the completion of the Darlington Upgrade Project. Expected time frame would be as little as 4 weeks which will be welcome news since this project has had many delays. The Southern Expressway users will have speed reductions lifted on the lowe...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

To put in perspective, they are acquiring 48 properties for the Magill / Portrush intersection. 1000 doesn’t seem like a stretch for the rest of South Road (if going for full trench option).

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Didn’t Knoll say they’d have the answer to what general form the final stage would take by end of 2019?

Now we have to wait a further 12 months?

Magill/Portrush Road Intersection Upgrade | $98m

As Burnside Village expansion has now been put on hold, but with demolition already complete on small neighbourhood shops in North East corner formerly facing Greenhill road. Would be good to see the govt Aquire a bit more land from this vacant lot while it has the chance and expand the intersection...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Any talk of Branson putting up Necker island as collateral is primarily (or only) for Virgin Atlantic, a completely seperate airline and debt issue.

[PRO] Re: Goodwood/Springbank/Daws Road Intersection Upgrade

I don't understand why Edward St/Raglan Avenue hasn't been done. The required land is mostly vacant, and all you're really doing is removing one right hand turn from South Rd. The Adelaide planning prerequisite is, something has to be built on the vacant land before it’s considered. In all seriousn...

Magill/Portrush Road Intersection Upgrade | $98m

So very true. And here are with a intersection upgrade that is much needed. No, here we are with the government spending $98m on a $30m intersection upgrade of debatable need Maybe it is needed, but would starting to extend the North South Motorway from the Torrens past Henley Beach Road be a bette...

I totally agree Vasco. There are already things they could do to help. I think the sooner they close Pym St the better. It would at least allow free traffic flow for another 1.5-2 kms. Where does the forum see the worst bottlenecks are now? If they can spend $98m and take out 58 properties for just...

The idea of a NS Motorway is great. Unfortunately in SA no one with the power to do anything wants to create a NS Motorway anytime soon. And even if they did it’s going to take another decade + to complete. I for one would prefer some solutions in the mean time while those in charge inevitably twidd...

I would think there is no planning on south road in the past 10 years Mazda dealership being built on the western side brand new service station 30 meters opposite Caltex on a site that was derelict for 20 years.a child care centre renovated on the corner of everard ave and south road, no thought o...
