[U/C] Re: Port Adelaide Dock Spur Line
But arguably pretty important given the gradual shift of the 'centre' of Port from Commercial Road to the waterfront area. Many people argue that Adelaide Railway Station is poorly located on the edge of the city, the same applies here but on a smaller scale. I think in 20 years it will seem perfec...

[U/C] Re: Port Adelaide Dock Spur Line
Croydon is close to the city whereas Port Dock is the end of the line and its a spur line so I assume they're not anticipating a huge amount of patronage. But wasn’t increasing patronage the whole justification for building this spur line? tbh I'm struggling to see the business case for this project

Re: News & Discussion: Roads & Traffic
On the one hand there is apparently extensive modelling and evidence from crashes to support the change. On the other hand there are those complaining that a drive through this section will take an extra 30 seconds under ideal conditions with this change. 'apparently extensive modelling' Scre...

Re: News & Discussion: Roads & Traffic
I can't disagree but I've always thought it was weird to have this random short stretch of 80 km/h road stuck essentially in the middle of suburbia. It doesn't really service any particular purpose and, from my experience, it just tends to confuse metropolitan-based drivers who rarely have to encou...

abc. Seriously. You can't just call everyone stupid all the time. I didn't I'm not sure you can blindly blame "the media" - even social media. I'm pretty sure it was "the media" who told me there were multiple candidates for preselection in the safe seat I live in. It was "...

Re: M1 South-Eastern Freeway
Why not just install a concrete barrier in the median strip of Cross Rd? Sure, this wouldn't stop traffic heading west on Cross Rd from being hit by an out of control truck, but neither would moving the stop line for the intersection further east. There's probably not enough concrete in all of Sout...

Talk about a staggering statistic. Rail commitments for the rest of the decade. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240515/65ccfeab674f6fda7b1c4f84bc607f32.jpg Seems commensurate to wealth, forecast growth and population.
