Re: The Michael Jackson Appreciation Thread - RIP

I remember when he came to Adelaide in 1996. I was 17 and I was in the crowd waiting to get a glimpse and maybe even a close up... Yeah right! I was wasn't in a great position in the crowd but I thought if I could just get to see him then I'd be more than content and more than happy. And I did. I di...

[COM] Re: #U/C : North Terrace Upgrade - Stage Two

How is there a 400-year old house here... unless I've completely missed a chapter in history? Edward Hayward and his wife, Ursula Barr-Smith, were on holiday in England when they rescued a grand 4-century old building (I think it's name was "Beaudesert") from demolition. They bought the b...

Yay, height! Thanks for the pic. Where did you take it from? The only place that could have been taken from is the (blue glass) building on the corner of Pulteney Street and Rundle Mall... can't remember the name. And yeah, that is a great angle. Just to think, when the building is complete, it wil...

On behalf of us at the internet-based community forum,
maybe change to "On behalf the internet-based community forum," Apart from that well done. Length is good and points are brought accross quickly enough.

Wouldn't Urban Construct take that title? A few from the top of my head:
  • 2 Billion $ Newport Quays
    The Precinct
    Aurora
    Holdfast Shores
    The Pier
    Platinum
    The Convention Centre

[U/C] Re: Proposal# 88 O'Connell St - Makris dev. 6 lvl

Sorry I couldnt be a bit more coherent with my remarks there. The nerves just took over and I couldn't get my thoughts together very clearly. I now have new found respect for ppl like politicians who can answer questions on the spot and get it right. I really considered coming back with a pre prepar...

[U/C] Re: Proposal# 88 O'Connell St - Makris dev. 6 lvl

Today I was walking home from the Archer hotel and on my way I bumped into a camera man and a hot chick (who was the interviewer). They were asking ppl walking down Archer st how they felt about the Le Cornu development now that it has been cut down to 4 levels and that it won't have a cinema. I was...

Does anyone know if there has been any further progression or news on this project? I catch a bus from this site every morning and noticed that it is being used as a car park atm. Kept seeing all these ppl coming and going and getting excited thinking that the project was getting underway.
