That's more a consequence of the poor streetscape, and the design and purpose of the buildings there, than the fact that they are tall.

Gates run hot at bustling Adelaide Steve Creedy November 02, 2007 The Australian ADELAIDE Airport smashed through the 6 million passenger mark for the first time in 2005-06 as it posted a $4.8million profit. Re: other sites for a new stadium?

People seriously need to stop thinking of the Parklands as available land, and put more thought into a location.

Re: Australia World Cup bid 2018

There may be a problem with NZ in that it is in the FIFA Oceania region, and Australia is of course now in the FIFA Asia region. I'm not sure how comfortable FIFA would be with that. Also, we may remember that Australia was meant to co-host the Rugby World Cup a few years back, but ended up going it...

Re: Upgrade of Adelaide Rail Network

This is such a replay of the situation in NSW about 4 years ago when Carr was still about. The 'Tiser has been trying to scandalise public transport in this city for about 2 years now to offer the Opposition some sort of traction against the Government. The funny thing is, though, that it's almost a...

The Faroe Islands are nowhere near close to being "off the coast of Denmark". Just instils you with confidence in the rest of the article, doesn't it? Foreign Correspondent did a story on the Faroe Islands a few weeks ago. It looks like an amazing place. 'Tis :) The Faroese are much nicer than some...

Re: Michael Harbison re-elected as Lord Mayor

There is nothing wrong with the light poles and paving. The mall does not need a tram. Any money spent on that precinct should concentrate on the lanes and side streets that run off the mall. These side streets is where you will get the greatest return on your investment. They currently detract fro...

Good idea, this thread. I'm Scott. I registered on Sensational Adelaide in June this year, though I'd been lurking for some months beforehand. I don't recall exactly how I became aware of the site, but I'm fairly sure it was through my activities on Wikipedia, where I'm an administrator. I'm 20 year...

[COM] Re: #UC: The Precinct - 5 19 lvl - 62m towers

Arn't they going to be offices instead?, I would of also liked to see ground floor shops and cafes. I think it is the SoHo component of the building: two storey apartments with office accommodation on ground floor. Sort of home offices/studio's then, really. ACC & DAC are in a very strong position ...
