Re: Low to Mid-Rise CBD Development

Strikes me as a unsuccessful attempt at something similar to the Apple Store in New York:

Are the ends of the yellow beam in the shelter going to be filled or covered? It doesn't look very attractive with the hollow exposed.

Re: The 'new' King William Street and North Terrace

I just wish they'd finished the current stage of the North Terrace redevelopment and get started on the western extent. The streetscapes of the new King William St and North Terrace are as handsome, or more so, than any Australian capital.

Re: Ideas for a greater public transport system

Some good ideas there, just have a feq questions: -Extending the track into Flinders Uni needs a bit more detail... but I can tell you now, no train can get up Flinders Hill, a tunnel would be the only way and the elevator would have to be really long, Flinders Hill is quite big. Indeed. The closes...

Re: Ideas for a greater public transport system

Most of our rural lines are not broad gauge for a start. The only two lines in all of South Australia that still carry freight into the 'country side' are to Roseworthy and Penrice in the Barossa Valley. The Roseworthy branch isn't exactly in a healthy state either with possible closure being moote...

Anything is gotta be better than that current clown. At least Alexander is proposing some things, unlike that whinging clown. Sorry I really dislike Martin Hamilton-Smith lol I've actually met him in person a couple times, and he seems quite intelligent. I don't know what it is, but whenever there'...

No they don't. With present expenditure commitments, all evidence shows they'll struggle to even meet Foley's surplus target of $30 million.

Commonwealth funding will be necessary for this project to eventuate.

[COM] Re: $1.7bn plan to build a new RAH

The way this project has been discussed, I suspect it was leaked to the media before it was ready, and the government launched the whole project too early to save face. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets shelved. I'm not so sure. Rann might be able to cop the embarrassment of, say, pulling an about...

Re: Adelaide a city, not a town - Mike Duffy Blog

Though one thing I really want to see, is the interstate reputation of Adelaide & SA change for the better. And thankfully that is now happening thanks to the brilliant work done by Tourism SA with the new tourism campaign, the new website, commercials and tourism brochures (esp Adelaide) look grea...
