[U/C] Re: U2 on Waymouth - 114 Waymouth Street | 78m | 26lvl

I think we have an answer to what happens next with this site. A large excavator has flattened approx three quarters of the old footings as at lunch time today (Mon 03 April). I assume then that development can kick off in earnest and that the archeological work has now been finalised??

[U/C] Re: U2 on Waymouth - 114 Waymouth Street | 78m | 26lvl

The archeological work is at the Payhouse Lane end of the site. There is a sign on the fence advising that EBS Group is performing the 'archeological and cultural assessment '. I've got a few pics I'll try and upload to demonstrate the work underway. The pic from Norman doesn't show the bricks and f...

There is a full on archaeological dig happening at the U2 site with people using small trowels and containers etc sifting through the dirt for artefacts.

Re: University of South Australia - Developments and News

I walked past the site at lunch time and the toilet block has been demolished but no so sign of the skate park being attacked yet. The yellow fencing is 'Hansen Yuncken' yellow, the builders chosen for this project. The HY website has this 'The project also involves additional space for allied comme...

Re: [ City Central ] Masterplan Thread

It looks as though the update to Darling Building on Franklin St may finally be under way. The front of the building has been fenced off and deliveries of building materials have been taking place for a week or two now.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

I noticed Emirates take off over the city this morning, does anyone know if they missed the curfew last night and were forced to wait until this morning to take off????

Does missing the curfew happen very often, or is it a pretty rare event?

Noticed this morning that the blades were actually covering some of those windows on the Western face. They went straight over the windows.

Re: News & Discussion: Laneway Revitalisation Projects

Signage has gone up today on the building on the corner of Topham Mall and Currie St, currently undergoing major renovations, for a new CBD brewery called 'Lady Burra' which sounds interesting. This type of venture could help transform Topham Mall and hopefully cash in on the large volume of foot tr...

In promising news for this development, for the second week in a row this has appeared in the tenders listed in the Business Journal in the Tiser. Built Environs are asking for quotes to be lodged by 25 July 2014. Last week it was Synergy Construct requesting quotes. All very promising that this is ...

'88 Construction' signage now all over the fencing of this site. Piling was also underway this morning. With the commencement of piling work, does this constitute this project as being 'under construction'?

What does 'SWP' stand for anyway, as in the title of this thread?
