Re: News & Discussion: Trams

The Colonel Light Gardens tramline use to run along the eastern side of Goodwood Road on its own green strip, similar to the photos above. Adelaide should be doing more of this! RE: old stock, I actually don't mind the idea of older stock if it's looked after. A lot of Melbourne's older (single-carr...

Elegantly imposing. Boldly shimmering. Modestly divine. (16/2/2020)

Now would it be too much to ask for, for someone to come along and restore the Mansions building in front?

I'm intrigued what feature they will have on the roof at night.

For your enjoyment... https://i.postimg.cc/7hH6hRTW/TEx-Newsletter-Feb-2020-Page-3.png Cheers I can't help but feel that this upgrade is a missed opportunity to put Qantas Club and Virgin Lounge on a third level; not only would it give better views for members, but it would also clear out a sizeabl...

Not sure where else to put it but the new servo that’s being built opposite Castle Plaza, well the plastic wrap on the exterior panels has now been removed; the station shelter is blue and the shop is red. Since no other station looks like this, could this be the first new Ampol servo? For those th...

cheers, clearly nothing worth saving
Actually no, it probably was worth saving. Especially when you consider the shit that's going in its place. It had ab beautiful interior, and with repurposing the building itself could have had more street appeal.

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

As someone who has recently started working at the Museum and has been able to get a better insight into this whole process (which Marshall is right, it's incredibly complex) and how things operate. I feel this gallery needs to be a part of a broader package that will see $100m allocated to both the...

The venue doesnt really pick tour periods. They might negotiate on actual an date, but that's within a specific period that a band is touring the country. They arent going to change the tour or come back later over the a league. Further to that there's only been 3 concerts at Coopers since AVMC too...

I'm not buying into this debate yet because it's a rehash of previous arguments. But a couple people have said the the Adelaide Entertainment Centre is privately owned. It's not. It's run by a public corporation -- the Adelaide Venue Management Corporation, which also runs the Convention Centre and...

Re: News & Discussion: Roads & Traffic

There was an article in one of the messengers which has up to 20 properties being acquired for the upgrade. Plus the servo plus the childcare centre. The childcare centre was a $1m + no sure what the servo was, but you can see where a budget of $98m is coming from. The article had one guy saying he...
