Re: News & Developments: Port Adelaide

With the recent stepping down of UoA Vice Chancellor and such, there was mention in the media that the university were seriously exploring a northern suburbs campus, and were having these discussions with City of Playford, most likely to position themselves in competition with UNISA at Mawson Lakes,...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

I haven't actually. Maybe I should lug myself over to it sometime. Definitely do. Really well designed, considering they built half around the old terminal and then demolished the old terminal to built the other half. Not sure how they'll go if they ever need to expand but they have built in featur...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

I wonder how long it will be before the Victorian government throw their hat in the ring to try and buyout Virgin, after all, they've said since the collapse that whoever takes over Virgin should consider relocated their base to Melbourne. Can just see a Victorian government buyout now, 'V-Line Air'...

Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development

Not to mention it is prime land for a much larger commercial development. Wasted opportunity to get rid of a puke building. What part of 'Adelaide has an too much vacant commercial office space' doesn't quite stick? I'm genuinely curious. We don't need more large commercial developments, par...

The glazing is horrible, driving along North Terrace during the daytime, you can see all of the hotel curtains... There is zero reflection on the windows. I can understand if you cheap'd out on glazing if the building was similar to those around Victoria Square, but the glazing is what was meant to...

Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development

Agreed, rev. Based on that article it doesn't even seem like they are doing much in the way of an external upgrade, apart from the ground floor.

Jesus, if that's the original renders they've really not done a very good job replicating it... Just slabs of concrete.

So sad to see this monstrosity go ahead. Truly hope I’ll be eating my words. It's an appalling design. I'm as supportive of CBD highrise as anyone, but this one definitely should have been rejected by SCAP to save the developer from themselves. Our only hope is that, like other developments, the en...

Re: News & Developments: Prospect

Looks like a decent building with good finishes. More of this please! It will definitely have more street activation than the current tenant, Blackwell Funerals. Hopefully this kind of stuff progresses north along Prospect Road; on opposite of the side of the side street this will corner on is most...

Re: Magill/Portrush Road Intersection Upgrade | $98m

I'm at 10-15 minute walking distance from this. I think it is a piece of shite. All it does is it gets a few more vehicles across the intersection on a cycle of lights and then the congestion starts again. Band aid solution (perhaps not even that). Cheers Not to mention, the worst part of this inte...
