, get an entire re-fit-out of the Myer Centre (including the Myer store), restructure the building to allow better pedestrian flow throughout the entire buildingand a more upmarket appeal. Sorry to break off topic! Go on with the HS Building! :D Patrick this is already happening and started in Janu...

On another note; Adelaide Festival organisers have announced on that the 'Barrio' club will not return in 2014 because the redevelopment of the AFC car-park will have commenced. There appears to be a God somewhere... :D No more Hajek Plaza!!

Tuxedo Cat operators have announced recently that they will be vacating the site, a sign that this may be moving forward?

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw

Sad to see Keswick go. The opportunity was there to make a Southern Cross station out of it, but that would have made too much sense. The Government obviously didn't like the fact that there was a connection there at all (that little kefuffle dates back to the STA vs ANR days!) Actually, that isn't...

Wish they'd do something about the office portion of the Myer facade, it's looking more nasty each year. Wish they'd do something about Myer all together! The building is in-your-face ugly. The yellow panelling is awful, fades as the building ages; the clock is irrelevant, you can't see it? Not to ...

[U/C] Re: PRO: SkyCity Adelaide Casino Expansion | $300m

Here's a thought, probably not even possible but any ways, if the government had money to give out, move the railway station to the left of the skate park. Integrate trams, rail (maybe even bus?) together. We need activity on that side any ways and the hospital with be really close to the station. ...

Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development

Well, if that is a revised master-plan of the Riverside Project, I'll be voting Liberal's in March, 2014. 2 cafe's/restaurants? What a down-plan to what was originally proposed!

Can someone explain the excitement over the opening of the Apple Store? I've been to a few in my short time on this earth and to me it's a store that is more refined to what say Harvey Norman or JB Hi-Fi offer. Nothing too flash.. :? Re: News & Discussion: Trains

Patrick, The single-track Belair Line, which is managed by Adelaide Metro, is owned by the State Government/DPTI. The other track, the one which carries the frieght trains, is owned by the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC). ARTC don't like sharing tracks. So it won't happen. Maybe so, but ne...

Re: News & Discussion: Trains

On another note. Has consideration been made for potentially standardising the Belair line? I know that all the new concrete sleepers have the ability to change gauge. And to me it seems stupid that they didn't attempt to do so in this rail renewal project (too late now). But at present, the Belair ...

Re: News & Discussion: Trains

Just a thought. I know the amount of re-structure it would involve to undertake such a project. But has it been considered to move Interstate rail back into Adelaide railway station? Obviously, a standard gauge line would need to be constructed to allow such a task, and they'd have to build a platfo...
