Re: SA Economy

Young people complaining that the ad is ageist, while older people are having a laugh. Political correctness gone stupid as usual. If you don't like the ad, fair enough, but most people are bagging it on behalf of a section of the population they know nothing about. It's Middle aged people complain...

Could someone post a video of the news segment. I'm a Melbournian I probably won't see it otherwise haha.
I am keen on the developments in Adelaide, in Melbourne we take for granted our tall skyline.

Why would you need to get rid of them... Things just need to be moved around
What do you want this land to be used for? Be specific.

Cheers

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

There's plenty of room at Memorial Drive for a new indoor arena. People just need to think beyond demolishing an old stadium and rebuilding on top of it. Next Gen Gym, the outdoor courts next to it. They can all be demolished, and a new indoor arena built there. There's nothing saying that War Memo...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Gauge conversion is not as difficult as it's made out to be. The rolling stock is easy to gauge convert. It only took two weeks to convert the Adelaide-Melbourne railway. Adelaide Metro has one fifth the track, plus the sleepers are ready to go. I reckon the Adelaide Metro network could be converte...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

Your railway looks much shorter and straighter than the current alignment. How does its gradient compare? a casual 62% grade coming down in his underground section between Torrens Park Station and Sheoak Road How'd you calculate 62% and what counts as "casual" in train terms? Novice here concerning...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

Here's the map that I've drawn about a possible route for a freeway connection (in green) between North-South Motorway and South East Freeway, along with a possible rail alignment (in blue) through the Adelaide Hills. The underground sections are represented by broken lines. Your railway looks much...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

From memory they spent $6 Million on the plan for the North-South Motorway which basically broke it up into sections and attempted to prioritise the order of those sections (which has subsequently been ignored). cities are in a constant state of change and thus we cannot plan accordingly. I wouldn'...

Was the Salisbury Highway extension from Port Wakefield Road to South Road in the MATS plan, or has that effectively replaced the Montague Road to South Road line at the bottom of your picture? Dry Creek Expressway is PRexy > Salisbury Highway > Montague https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/...

[U/C] Re: Northern Connector | 14km | $1b

You think Bolivar will be an issue? You wait and see the bank up at the Regency Rd intersection once the traffic can come from Gawler without stopping. Its already bad enough. The worst intersection in the state is just going to get even worse. I don't think much of the NC traffic will actually mak...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Forget any lines that travel through the Adelaide Hills, they'll never be viable. Focus should be moved to the Adelaide Plains.
