Agreed, would like to see important projects like this focus on delivery time, cost and quality over trying to look good by employing certain groups.

Just drove past the shipping container house discussed above, still half finished, but surprisingly I think it's looking really good

Apologies for the terrible photo

Re: Negativity in Adelaide

I don't think any city except Sydney actually has "one single item to draw you in" (bridge, opera house). Id say Adelaide's target market for tourists is a slightly older demographic. And we absolutely nail it! Nearby world class wine regions, nice beaches nearby, museums, great city eateries, and a...

Re: Negativity in Adelaide

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk No offence but that is a very narrow minded view, which is unfortunately the view of most people ...

[U/C] Re: 11-27 Frome Street | Hotel and apartments

The trouble is these venues replacement/relocation aren't guaranteed, if we dont fight for our small venues such as the rhino room then we'll end up with a sterile city. End up with a sterile city ? Adelaide already is sterile. Adelaide certainly isn't sterile? I'll cop the small country town stigm...

10m sounds awfully cheap for a hotel and residential building

I can't think of any buildings taller than this that have been built down a tiny side street like Byron. Good to see!!

Interesting read, agree with most of it aswell. Particularly the part about making better use of our city squares and making the Torrens swim able.
