I don't think every Chinese citizen or student is a member of the communist party though. There probably are a few, but not all of them. Wikipedia states that there are 90 million party members, so it should be about 6.5%.

This is getting off-topic now, but I did a project last year about a bus tunnel though the CBD. Here is the link if anyone is interested:

[U/C] Re: Festival Plaza Redevelopment | $800 million

A variation to the development application has been lodged for Festival Plaza. It looks to contain updated renders of Station Place, the station entrance and the plaza. https://www.saplanningcommission.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0008/665927/3.2.1_DPTI_Adelaide_Festival_Plaza_Assessment_Report_...

Adelaide Festival

Seems like we don't have a dedicated thread for the Adelaide Festival. The ABC has recently screened a behind-the-scenes look at the production and programming of the 2020 Adelaide Festival, its 60th anniversary. You can watch it on iview here: https://iview.abc.net.au/show/getting-their-acts-togeth...

Currently on the SCAP website proposed 12 level student apartment building at Mawson Lakes; at 13-17 Metro Parade. https://www.saplanningportal.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0011/662375/361-L020-20-online_docs.pdf Looks decent enough, hopefully they will deliver in the materials used. Re: Forests & plantations

It's a good question, and not something I am particularly familiar with. My guesses are: - Bushfire risks - Lack of water resources & rainfall - Murray Bridge receives half the rainfall of Adelaide and Mount Gambier, and a third of Mount Lofty's total. The Mount Lofty Ranges act as a barrier where l...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Since you live in Perth, would you support the Fremantle Line being converted to light rail? No.- Why? 1. The Fremantle line does not terminate at Perth station. Perth station is a through station not a terminus, so trains from Fremantle continue on through the station to become the Midland line. M...

Wouldn't these be minor costs compared to the expense of converting the system from heavy to light? It seems like you're describing the ideal application, but we're not starting from scratch here. We have a legacy system with its own idiosyncracies. The expense of changing over si not that high...I...
