[COM] [U/C] Re: Northern Connector | 14km | $1b

I drove on Salisbury Highway this afternoon. The amount of traffic now is about 1/3 or 1/4 of what it was before. Looking forward to this stretch receiving a much-needed upgrade. At least the bitumen should be completely replaced.

[PRO] Re: Birkenhead Bridge Upgrade Project

If we want to get serious about the Birkenhead Bridge why not get rid of it completely? Why not go under than over? The water depth here is not important since ships with large draughts don't pass through here. Yachts have shallow draughts with perhaps the deepest (if we are talking about super/meg...

[PRO] Re: [PRO] Re: Brighton Road Grade Separation

I've noticed all the different coloured markings sprayed everywhere around the line, is there actually a scheduled start for this project? No, we need to wait for a development application to be lodged first. Any works now would be early works, such as moving services and traffic management plannin...

[PRO] Re: Birkenhead Bridge Upgrade Project

Ok, I wasn't going to weigh in to this absurd idea, but what would the actual benefit be of such a bridge? I can think of only negatives. - Loss of open space - Loss of views - Encouragement of through traffic, especially heavy vehicles - Loss of trees and shrubs - Loss of potential buildings, such ...

He is fighting approval in the Supreme Court, so that means he is only able to challenge the process of approval, not the approval itself. If he was to fight the specifics of the proposal directly he would be going to the ERD Court.

Just to clarify, this is for Tiger Air flights, not Virgin Australia. Tiger Air is a subsidiary of Virgin Australia.

This change will be in place from 27 April 2020.

I'm not sure what happened to that North-West public transport study, because the PTPA website has removed any trace of it. The Port Dock spur line page is still up though.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Saw some poor woman waiting on the outbound platform at Salisbury just now. Luckily we eventually convinced her that it doesn’t get used outside of peak times and to come over to Platform 2. Which begs the question, why is Salisbury the only oddity on the whole network? None of the other interchang...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Regarding patronage figures, the trams in Adelaide carry about 9.4m people per year, including free travel. I don't have any figure breakdowns regarding free travel, but do note that network-wide there were 9.8m free trips. This includes free trips to sports and entertainment events across all modes...
