Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
Great to see more airlines making their way back to Adelaide, the ticket prices for overseas travel are extraordinary. Hopefully this will create downward pressure on prices and thereby reduce inflation.

Pretty sure this will be for the tram grade separation or the Port Dock extension. Tenders don't go out for unannounced projects.

The council has finally fixed Leigh Street and most of the asphalt is now gone. It looks a lot better now, but hopefully the pavers are on a much stronger base. The condition of the street was pretty poor before the upgrade.

I could imagine construction costs are putting a lot of projects on a temporary pause for things to get back to normal. I've recently built a house, and it took 15 months to build because of shortages in materials and labour. I imagine the story is the same in the commercial sector.

It would be great to see a supermarket on the ground floor here. Does anyone still have the approved plans for this development?

I'm surprised that so many people are calling this precinct a success, it still has a long way to go in terms of site activation, especially on weekends and after hours. The residential component is too small in my opinion.

Re: News & Developments: Henley Beach & Grange
They were going to build a pipeline under the sand to pump said sand along the coastline to where it's needed. What happened to that? How well would that have worked? Was there going to be some sort of system developed that monitors the volume of sand per beach before it kicked in and started pumpi...

Exactly, trams are off the cards until at least the next election.

Hopefully they will change the name before they open, "Mount Barker South" is truly uninspiring. It will also be interesting what opening hours the Woolworths will have, as there are no trading restrictions in the area.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
I've recently booked a flight on Singapore Airlines and even two months ahead the plane is almost booked out. Meanwhile, the same flight out of Melbourne is priced cheaper and has fewer bookings. Surely it's time to increase the frequency or get some more carriers on board, because the demand is cle...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Urban Sprawl & Density
I would give some of the blame for this to the developers. Instead of focusing on the corridors (except for Churchill Road and Prospect Road), developers have been picking the low-lying fruit, subdividing old post-war houses, and building two or three new houses. This has caused a lot of issues with...

Re: News & Discussion: Low/Mid-Rise CBD Development
I'd like to see one of the Woolworths Metro style stores that they have in the eastern states operating in the southern part of the CBD. I'm pretty sure the size of those are comparable to the IGA that just opened. The prices are normal Woolworths prices though. Are you sure? I recall their prices ...
