Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Was travelling city-bound on the Gawler Line from Salisbury station this afternoon around 1:30. Train was already pretty full with BBL-goers when I got on and became progressively more full until we reached Mawson Lakes and the masses of BBL-goers on the platform piled in. All available space was f...

Re: Rebranding of Adelaide Metro

Props for giving it a go, and identifying some of the issues. Not sure the current branding "has become a meme", but it's certainly an incoherent mess. My criticism of yours would be that it's a bit of a grab bag from other systems (the overhead signage doesn't match the other way finding signage, ...

Rebranding of Adelaide Metro

I know this is defo not an initiative that should be prioritised, but I believe that it is worth a consideration since the current branding has become such a meme. I believe the whole integrated signage system in conjunction with the wayfinding and cycling signage will be perfect for a medium-sized ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Wouldn't mind seeing a different stopping pattern trialed on the Gawler Line. 1) Adelaide, express to Mawson Lakes, then all stops to Gawler Central. Adelaide, all stops to Mawson Lakes then Parafield, Salisbury, Elizabeth, Smithfield, Gawler. Excuse my ignorance, but have they ever changed the sto...

The underground station for Adelaide Railway Station will go beneath the walkway that goes underneath North Terrace. Central island configuration, will become the new Platforms 1 and 2, and the existing Platforms 1-9 will become 3-11. Hopefully they can futureproof it by building 4 platforms (2 isl...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

I still think redoing the bus and train liveries in Madrid colours to match the Citadis trams rather than redoing the Madrid trams in Adelaide colours is the most Adelaide thing in the world. I think it's better to differentiate the modes with different colours like what Sydney and Melbourne are do...
