[CAN] Re: 322 King William Street | ~100m | 2 x 30 Lvls | Mixed Us
I like the podium(?) in the first design. They've also eliminated those 3 awnings? on the southern corner at the top. The tower portion looks better imo, the podium ehh Agreed, love the lower podium in the first picture and love the more squared tower in the second. Here's hoping they bump together...

From KWS by Adelaide Oval, this building looks incredible. This along with the latest upgrades to the Convention Centre have a massive impact on the setting.

Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
Love the stadium design but the location is horrible. Besides, if people want to see an arena within this area then this vision will certainly not allow for that unless they close Memorial Drive and built it right on the edge of the Torrens which would make it all awfully cluttered. We have other pl...

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects
I didn't think its purpose as per the Bowden Urban Village was to be interchangeable. The Bowden station as it is already has some interchangeable qualities about it: the tram, North Adelaide station and buses on Port Road. Perhaps it wasn't from an urban planning point of view, but for the people ...

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects
IMO They should go all out and put the entire OH line in a trench Like tunnelling this sector of the OH line, what good reason is there for trenching the line? Tunnelling this section of line is a stupid and unnecessary expense all in the name of aesthetics. Go anywhere else in Australia and you'll...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw
The Indaily article mentions stage 2 of the goodwood upgrade with a pedestrian overpass. Will be interesting to see what that involves.. I always thought that if they ever did a pedestrian overpass with the tramline at Goodwood they'd include a platform and make a train/tram interchange station out...

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects
not sure why they would move Bowden Station east towards Park Tce. No one lives in the parklands, and no one takes a train to the parklands. Id leave the station where it is because it will be in the middle of the Bowden midrise apartments in the next few years, and is closer to the Ent Centre/Hind...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Isn't there already a Priceline on Gawler Pl, just up from the post office? Yep - about four doors down. Plus, I think the Dick Smith store is a bit smaller... Yeah, there is. I might be going past there again tomorrow so I'll try and take a picture, perhaps you guys might be able to make some sens...

Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
Rod laver and Perth arena are not suitable for soccer. There are three major types of stadium required. 1. Large oval for AFL/Cricket, major events. 2. Rectangle slightly smaller 35000 capacity, outdoor pitch or retractable roof. 3. Indoor venue approx. 12000-15000 (can be partitioned off for small...

Plus the ability to use it for basketball/netball/tennis and concerts smaller than the Entertainment Centre. Tell me... Why the hell would you build a brand new arena only for it to live in the shadow of the Entertainment Centre? How about this... Build a new area with variable capacities (15,000/1...

It looks as though Priceline have snapped up the Gawler Place Dick Smith site. There's a couple of signs in the window saying Priceline opening soon, weird thing is... The 'for lease' signs haven't been removed.

The Wanderers fanbase are a group of destructive morons, they defaced our state sign on the NWS border too. They had better send the club the bill or shit will hit the fan (pun intended).

I'm with you guys in giving this one a big thumbs up. :applause: I especially like how the upper floor 3 bed apartments all come with an internal dedicated storage room inside the apartment. Good planning. I'm a big fan of the East End but I'm still a bit 'iffy' on that part of Pirie street though....
