Re: Penola Bypass

Sorry, to the East then. I didn't think new rail crossings were advised anymore - especially on important freight routes.

Re: Penola Bypass

The map doesn't show what is north of the town, but surely a bypass that side would be cheaper as it would not have to cross the rail line twice (this increasing the expense with overpasses).

Just my opinion after looking at it only a few minutes.

Re: Rail Line to Flinders Uni

The vision includes proposals for a weekday tram-train service along a duplicated Tonsley rail line requiring construction of new stations at Sturt and the Flinders Medical Centre. Wait, what did that say? Are they seriously building this for just a weekday service?? Tonsley/Flinders still won't ge...

Re: fabricator's Tonsley to Reynella (and beyond) railway

Here's an idea I've been toying with to get the train line up from Flinders uni to Reynella. That is through the Valley between Main South and Flagstaff Hill Rds: http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/1395/flindersreynella.jpg As you can see, the line ascends from the current Terminus at Tonsley via a br...

Re: #PRO: Port Adelaide Tram | #COM: Entertainment Centre Tr

But what's more urgently needed is to greatly increase the service frequency of the City Loop buses. Agreed. A turn up and go frequency (of 8-5 mins) is definitely needed on this service. A 15 min frequency just doesn't make it attractive for the regular commuter, especially the cross-modal commute...

Re: Cycling around Adelaide

I have noticed road widening works on the northern side Henley Beach Rd just before Rowells Rd and can't help but think that is to complete the bike lane that disappears while going around the bend, then reappears. A definite dangerous stretch for cyclists. Bravo if that is the reason, I'm glad to s...

Re: #PRO: Port Adelaide Tram | #COM: Entertainment Centre Tr

The worst example of pedestrian inequality has to be Mosely Sq, Glenelg. Pedestrians trying to cross either Colley street or Jetty Rd are faced with a sign saying "Passengers must give way to cars". This has to be the only place in the world where in a pedestrian mall, pedestians have no r...

Re: #U/C: Northern Expressway | 22km

I can understand the whole road detours thing; but why couldn't the wacky diversion have been the road detour whilst they rebuilt the existing road? Because then they'd have to build two roads for each intersetion. One for the temp rd and one for the final overpass. Note other bridges around Adelai...

Re: #PRO: City Busway - O-Bahn to West Tce

Would the bridge under Park Tce where North-bound buses enter the o-bahn be wide enough for both tracks? Also, given the service lane to the east of Hackney Rd and the parking to the west, I doubt there would be a great deal of parklands aquired. However, one or both would have to go. I did note tha...

And I hate the Labour voters who put sh!t on the Oppositions plans and put so highly on a pedestal the Labour plans. Has anyone realised that both parties ar...
