Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
The O-Bahn is a quick route for buses to take, electrifying it seems to add an extra level of complication without really solving any problems. Do you think electrifying the Seaford line added an extra level of complication without really solving any problems? If not, what’s the difference? Electri...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
Is technology not at the point yet where the track itself has overhead wires, to charge an on board battery while on the track, to allow enough charge for the entire route? It is, but didn’t you understand my post? Why would you want to go with overhead wires when fourth rail electrification would ...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
Hybrid trolleybus/battery have been run for a while in Europe. They would be perfect for the O-Bahn. Use the O-Bahn track for overhead wire operations and run without wires into the CBD and where the buses head off the O-Bahn into suburbia. Why would you want trolleybuses? They have twice as many v...

Re: Commonwealth Games in Adelaide
We already have most of the required facilities, so what do we lack and how much would it cost to build them?

Re: MATS Plan - Available Now
What is the different outcome from a plan that isn't followed and a plan that doesn't exist? As far as I can see the creation of the MATS plan was a waste of time and money. That's a good question, but actually There's an enormous difference, for two reasons: Firstly there were bits of the MATS Pla...

Well it took six weeks, but they did eventually reply: Hi Aidan Thank you for your email. Please refer to the responses to your questions below. Conspicuously absent was any mention of option zero (keeping the WCH in its current location). Did you neglect to consider it? The original Business Case i...

[VIS] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital
I've sent them the following email: Having read your site review report,a few issues stand out: • Conspicuously absent was any mention of option zero (keeping the WCH in its current location). Did you neglect to consider it? • Option 1 scored poorly because of lack of opportunities to extend the RAH...

Im in favour of rotating the whole runway a few degrees anti clockwise https://i.imgur.com/TbbDIl1.jpg Billions in cost, negligible benefits, Glenelg residents livid! ‘Tis a non starter. The only change to our airport runway configuration that will ever be needed is a short parallel runway on the n...

[U/C] Re: Main South Road & Victor Harbor Road Upgrade
The best way to minimise impact on the park is to stick to the current alignment and look at other options to increase capacity or travel options. If impact on the park were the only factor considered, that would be true. But there are other important considerations. A direct route would be signifi...

…Hence my submission didn't include a line on a map, but rather a recommendation to work with NPWS to determine how to minimise the impact on the park.

[U/C] Re: Main South Road & Victor Harbor Road Upg
At one stage I also felt that this direct route would be the best way to go but have since been convinced otherwise. I believe they would be unlikely to build a new section of road where Victor Harbor Rd would get the majority of benefit over Main South Rd especially considering south of where they...
