[COM] Re: $38m for new hi-tech police HQ

The current PHQ on Flinders St is just under 14,000sqm over 12 levels with GF parking for 22 vehicles. I understand that the intention however is to consolidate operations that they have in Adelaide down to one (other sites probably also have parks). Also, whilst they only have 22 spaces at the mome...

[CAN] Re: #Approved: 20-22 Currie St - 123m, 31 lvls

Looks like nothing is going to happen on this one. Might as well put it on the scrap heap.... Do you have any evidence to substantiate that claim? Yes, nothing has happpened since the project was first proposed nearly 18 months ago. Furthermore there's no prospects for it - no govt depts or private...

I really do not see the purpose of a third parry lobbying the government, and encouraging them to commit to or consider a particular development. The government will produce a Registration of Interest document which outlines their requirement and invites groups to register their development for cons...

Re: Victoria Square Visions

I believe the first answer to the problem is reducing roadways and reclaiming land for the pedestrian. This is so important for the Victoria Square’s future success. ... I think this idea would be great! Bring it back to basics AND REDUCE EXTENSIVELY OR ELIMINATE ALL TOGETHER THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!! ...

Desert Cube are urinal cubes which can be used with existing urinals. We tried this where I used to work at Netley. After a couple of years the concentrated uric acid ate through the old plumbing. Oops, Obviously the concept hasn't been fully thought through. I wonder if the pipe material makes any...

[COM] Re: #U/C: Centro Arndale Redevelopment - $100m

Best bet, call the number on that bill board with the For Lease sign, ask them if they're taking any tenants for the new shops to be built there. If anyone would know it's the agents. I understand that Centro market and lease their own properties, so their leasing operatives would be towing the com...

Re: Adelaide's Own 'Federation Square'

Fountains actually suffer from a high level of evaporation and they are constantly needing to be topped up with fresh water. This is the same reason that the lake in Rymill Park has been filled in... because it is shallow and not a dense body of water, it too evaporates quickly. Rymill Park Lake I ...

Re: Adelaide's Own 'Federation Square'

On a side note, it's such a shame that the drought and more stringent water restrictions have clamped down on Adelaide's public water features. There are so many waterfalls and fountains that I remember from years ago that are now pointless, barren areas - the waterfall in Renaissance Arcade, the c...

Re: Adelaide's Own 'Federation Square'

A few issues that might come up with this being a mass meeting place: 1) Load bearing issues - probably doesn't have the capacity for thousands of people at once. 2) Noise - I remember being told off years ago when i was still at school for making too much noise in this area, apparently it can be he...
